Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 11, 2002 Well, I finally watched the first Sleepaway Camp tonight. God damn that is one fucked up ending on that there movie. I basically figured out what the big surprise ending was from seeing you Sleepaway Camp fans discuss it, but i was still going holy shit when i actually saw the ending for myself. The ending is indeed interesting, but the overall movie is also pretty good. While it did have some classic overacting it still had a decent plot, good slayings and great makeup. They could've just said that Angela was back, not... well, I'm not going to spoil it for anyone else! You want it spoiled, read the back of the box yourself! Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted September 11, 2002 The thing I love about the first one (as long as no one spoils it for you)...the entire movie you pretty much know who the killer is...but the twist at the end no one knew...that was some freaky shit. Part 2 kicked ass as well...I think that's my favorite one out of the series. Part 3 was pretty BLAH I haven't watched the incomplete part 4 yet...is it even worth watching? When Angela gets thrown in the water by Judy and Meg, when she's sitting with Ricky on the bench, she's got her arms folded in close, almost like she's hunching over. Most would think that she was cold from the water, but as we find out, looks like she was hiding something. And, you never knew if it was just Angela, or if Ricky, or even Paul were protecting her. There's a whole big discussion that's gone around about how Paul knew the secret. If you listen to the words of the song at the end of the movie (I got lucky and found it on Napster before it got shut down), listen to the words. Yep, the cop in the movie. He had a moustache for his scenes, and left the set. Later on during filming (days/weeks later) they called him in for a re-shoot of the scene where they find Meg dead, and it turns out the guy had a photo shoot and had shaved the moustache. So, rather than a)film the scene differently (someone else discovers the body, new cops come) b)re-shoot his other scene with him moustache-less they cover it up with the "taped on" moustache. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 11, 2002 Well i just watched Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers and it's easily the better overall movie of the first two. The acting while nothing great is much better in the sequel so that helps. Better acting along with the decent plot and and great makeup from the original make for a better overall movie. However one part that had me laughing when TC was looking for the three of them near the end. "Sean...Molly...Aaangeeelaaa" Just the way he was so relaxed when saying Sean and Molly and then so intense when saying Angela. Oh yeah the way she killed Ally was rather disgusting. I forgot to add a few things to that last post about part II... Thanks to part 2 i now know of two more unknown actor sibling of a famous person Pamela Springsteen(Bruce's sister) and Renee Esteves(sister of Emilio and Charlie Sheen) I also enjoyed the reference to Jason, Freddy and Leatherface. Don't even watch the footage, just watch the horrible trailer. It looks as if it was filmed with a camcorder in the woods with no budget and only 2 actors. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 12, 2002 Well i just watched part 3 and um yeah it wasn't all that good. I've seen worse but compared to the other two it was pretty awful. They tried to give it a decent story that goes along with the previous movies, but it just didn't work. Also the slayings other then the firecracker were uninspired and they didn't seem to have to sae makeup and fx people since they never really showed the gore other then the firecracker guy. The trailer was more then enough for me and i promptly ejected it and got it far far away from my dvd player. The idea behind the movie isn't bad, but the execution of it was awful. Guess you hadn't seen it then I hate how the trailer splices in all this footage from the other movies to almost make it look worthy, and the fact that THERE'S NOT EVEN ANY F'N ANGELA IN IT!!!!
