Misleading Advertising....

Hey I've been reading all this stuff lately about how FF7 had misleading advertising. Now I don't really remember the advertising.....so what was so misleading about it?

 

Oh and can you think of any other misleading advertising that lead you to believe one thing but you found out a totally different thing?

Calling anything "Final ____ 7" is kind of misleading.

I remember that all the game footage shown in the TV commercials was from the hi-res cinematic scenes, and none of it was from the actual regular gameplay. But that's all I can think of.

Yea, I remember that too. Super good looking movies in the commercials, no gameplay. But I wouldn't really consider it misleading, considering the overvoice of the commercial was describing the plot, and the movies went along with what he was saying.
