Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted September 11, 2002 From 411wrestling.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Low Ki is gaining a reputation for having a superior attitude in the lockerroom, and a recent incident at a USA Pro Wrestling event seemed to add something to that reputation. Low Ki had words with Tammy Sytch (Sunny) about sitting in his seat in the lockerroom. Chris Candido came over tointervene, and Low Ki got into an altercation with Candido. Low Ki actually tossed a chair at Sytch, but the chair and hit another wrestler, who was not injured. Traditinoally in pro wrestling, wrestlers give up their chairs backstage to women and those who have more longetivity in the business. Low Ki is known for having the attitude that longetivity doesn’t mean as much as how high you are on the card. Many wrestlers wonder, however, why Low Ki believes he is a bigger star than others because he is not that big of a star. -------------------------------------------------------------------- And I have heard elsewhere that he has a very high opinion of himself
Guest Pegasus Kid Report post Posted September 12, 2002 If you're only looking at the "Indy world" then I'm sure Ki realizes that he's one of the top US Indy workers and as such makes some egotistical decisions. I'm pretty sure that won't change until he works for an organization that won't allow that kind of attitude to last very long. To be honest, I was surprised that no one set him straight in NWA TNA but considering how fast he shot up the card I guess it's too late now. That kind of crap would never go over in the WWE considering all the "ring generals" would have a "talk" with him and set him straight. The same probably goes for the major feds in Japan, it just wouldn't be tolerated. However, on the US Indy scene, his name is a draw and that means he's going to get away with a lot more. Guest The Masked Avenger Report post Posted September 12, 2002 A friend of mine jobbed to Lo Ki for a couple of matches in England this summer, and he claims Lo Ki was very proffesional and nice to him, though...
Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted September 12, 2002 The guy is an asshole. Plain and simple. He is not a great WRESTLER, and he hasn't acheived anything in the biz, and probably never will.
Guest SuperTonyJaymz Report post Posted September 12, 2002 The guy can kick. Thats about it. His character of a monk is pretty cool though, but i'd rather watch alot more people tahn him
Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted September 12, 2002 I like Low-Ki. His matches entertain me, I'm entertained by him, and he has a voice that in no way matches his look. He sounds like the love-child of Barry White and the Shredder from TNMT. Him being an asshole doesn't affect my liking him. Same with Jake Roberts being a drunk and a crack-addict doesn't affect my liking his in-ring stuff or not
Guest Incandenza Report post Posted September 12, 2002 It's the art, not the artist. Low Ki could steal old ladies' walkers and cut people off in traffic, but it has nothing to do with his ring work. Besides, I just ordered a Low Ki comp, and, having never seen one of his matches before, I'm curious to see what all the fuzz is about.
Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted September 16, 2002 I think that all this "give up you seat for the veterans" crap is incredibly stupid. If I sit down in a seat, I won't be giving it to anyone until I'm well and ready. Also, does USA Pro Wrestling not have enough chairs in the back for everyone on their roster? If so, maybe that is a problem they should look into. I also mark for Low Ki` in the ring, but he seems kind of strange outside of it. I'm basing that on his website and the few (short) IM conversations I've had with him.
Guest Rob Van Dam Report post Posted September 19, 2002 maybe you should get the story right before judging low ki, sytch came up to him and starting hitting in his back and calling him derogatory names
