Guest Chuck Woolery Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 I'll start. I live in Littleton, New Hampshire. It sucks here because in my gym class is the local 3pm to 6pm and 8pm to 11pm DJ for our radio station. All week. In addition, there is literally NOTHING TO DO here except eat. We must have five restaurants, a school, a barber shop, five banks, and a bookstore. Wow, interesting. Come on, kids. Someone must have a horrible hometown.
Guest Angle-plex Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 Currently: Kansas <_< Why does it suck there: Nothing to Do. Ever. Lived for over 10 years (born in): Massachusetts Why does it suck: Compared to Kansas, it doesn't.
Guest Kinetic Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 Abilene, Texas. Do I have to elaborate?
Guest treble charged Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 When I'm school: -Peterborough, Ontario -I don't know where anything is, and my school is a good 10 minute bus ride into town. When I'm home: -Brockville, Ontario -No movie theatre, despite a population of over 20,000.
Guest swan Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 Northern Illinois. I won't say exactly where in case DJ Jeff goes Postal.
Guest Insanityman Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 Iowa. I'd assume that would be enough said. "Mr. President! They bombed and took Iowa out!" -Long pause-. "Free popcorn and bacon for all..." I know it's not that funny, but I had to plug that in somewhere.
Guest TUS_02 Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 How far is Littleton from Keene, NH? I go to school at KSC and that's were I am currently (obviously)... but during the summer, I'm in Newtown, CT and it sucks because there's nothing out of the ordinary to do.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 Northern Illinois. I won't say exactly where in case DJ Jeff goes Postal. You make it seem like I'm a stalker, which I'm not. Anyways, I live in Calgary, Alberta. I have nothing against Calgary, since there is quite a bit to do.
Guest Insane Bump Machine Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 I live in Regensburg, one of the biggest cities in Bavaria, Germany. It's not that big compared to US standards (pop. 150,000), but definately big enough for my taste. I don't really hate anything about my town. It's one of the oldest cities in Europe, but still manages to keep up with modern times. Oh, and we have the biggest amount of bars per m² in Germany
Guest What? Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 Los Gatos, CA A small suburb outside of San Jose. Nothing really BAD about it except the damn cops always hassle my friends and I when we skate, and the shop owners try to take the law into their own hands by acting all tough around and shit. Not only that, but the movie theater shows artsy movies and shit...like Mostly Martha....WHAT A P.O.S.!! Still a pretty nice town, but one of my friend lives in this little town that's five years old outside of Tuscon, Arizona? Complete and utter shit town...nothing to do but skate and go to a teen center right down the street. POS
Guest J*ingus Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 I live in Brentwood, TN, just outside of Nashville. It sucks because the neighborhood is wealthy, but I am not. So I can look at any random person near me, and know that there's a 90% chance that they have more money than me, and at least a good 25% chance that they have a LOT more money than me.
Guest Chuck Woolery Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 Keene's a good, oh... maybe a two hour, two and a half hour drive from here. Not much to see, though... the big hangout is Wal-Mart.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 Huntington, Indiana. Let's just say this town is full of potheads for a reason. Population's about 18,000 and there's a bowling alley and a theater and that's IT. Nearest civilization is about an hour away.
Guest Hitman Jebus Posted September 12, 2002 Report Posted September 12, 2002 Where: St-Laurent (a suburb of Montreal, Quebec) Why does it suck: Prudes...You're never gonna get anywhere with these girls. In St-Laurent, its packed with just immigrants (like myself) and the girls all come from countries where families are very moral and have very religious backgrounds (Think "7th Heaven" families)...After college, I'm moving...Yes, that's right, I'm not getting any IN COLLEGE!!!) Don't feel sorry for me, I never had sex in my fucking hometown but when I'm on vacation WHAM! (thank you ladies in Maryland, Florida, and Cuba )
Guest The Electrifyer Posted September 12, 2002 Report Posted September 12, 2002 Where I live: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Why Does It Suck Here: Not much to do. Everything's the same around here.
Guest HBK16 Posted September 12, 2002 Report Posted September 12, 2002 Phoenix It sucks cuz it's like living in an oven about 8 months out of 12.
Guest Will Scarlet Posted September 12, 2002 Report Posted September 12, 2002 where I live: Windsor, Ontario, Canada why does it suck: There is not terribly much to do here, especially during winter. All we have is a river with a really nice park next to it, and now much else.
Guest TheRockIsTheEuropeanChampion Posted September 12, 2002 Report Posted September 12, 2002 I'd have to post in one of these... · Where I Live: Utah. Specifically, Kearns. Kearns is a small part of West Valley City/Taylorsville. We hosted the speed-skating events of the 2002 Olympics.. If you saw those, that’s us. It was directly across the street from my shoddy high school · Why Does It Suck There: Three letters.. L-D-S. I have no problem with people believing in what they want. I have no problem with religion. But, DAMN, I cannot stand being around so many members of the LDS church. Why must they be such prudes? So condescending? So annoying? … Except those who *aren't* LDS seem to have major attitude problems. They are the scum of America's youth. "SK8R"s, "punks"... These stupid kids don't know a damn thing. Not one thing. Aside from the people, Utah is a pretty nice place. Once you get down south, towards Moab, I hear that it's pretty cool. The scenery is fantastic, especially the mountains. But given the chance, I would leave. I'd *love* to go to Windsor! I don't need much to do... I need less people to be around. Did I ever mention that I'm a recluse?
Guest LaParkaMarka Posted September 12, 2002 Report Posted September 12, 2002 I live in Vancouver, Canada. I love it here, though I suppose the perpetual complaint everyone has is that it rains too much. Darn rain. Otherwise, I love it here.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 12, 2002 Report Posted September 12, 2002 The small town where I live has a couple of problems: No cable tv, but then again my big satellite allows me to watch Smackdown on Wednesday night, so its all good. No access to broadband internet, and crappy phonelines making dialup slower than a slug. I'm outnumbered by chickens, cows and deer. Cows and deer always seem to find away to get in the middle of the road causing near accidents. Getting to the house during the summer involves driving down a road surrounded on both sides with cornfields. I should have never seen Children of the Corn movies.. During the summer, idiots going to the beach clog up the main road (US 50) and make it hard to get anywhere on the weekends. It smells real bad in the summer. REAL bad. The place to hang out - Wal Mart which is still a good 15 minutes away. Why there is Nowhere good to hang out besides the 2 (yeah, 2) 24 Hour Wal Mart Super Centers is beyond me.. Our mall is full of 80 year olds driving the little mechanized carts 100 mph inside, nearly running people over. The movie theatre at the mall has 10 screens and always finds away to fill them up with about 4 different movies, so I never get to see good movies when the come out. I know theres more but I won't bore you to death with it..
Guest MaxPower27 Posted September 12, 2002 Report Posted September 12, 2002 Cape Coral, Florida here. -Hot as hell outside most of the year -Old people driving=Bad!! -Any girl I talk to is either (1)A stuck up snob (2)A slut with many diseases (3)Retarded [Not that there's anything wrong with retarded people] -Any good music, sports, etc happens in Tampa (about a 3 hour drive) or Miami (about a 2 1/2 hour drive)
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted September 12, 2002 Report Posted September 12, 2002 Middletown Ohio, been living there for 2 years... I don't hate living there, but there is a LOT of white trash, which can be amusing. Used to live near Pittsburgh -- too damn congested...
Guest papacita Posted September 12, 2002 Report Posted September 12, 2002 Philly, PA. Um...despite the fact that I hate the majority of City Government with a passion, I love it here.
Guest meanmaisch Posted September 12, 2002 Report Posted September 12, 2002 Washinton Townhsip NJ Why it sucks: Its being invaded by a constant stream of nouveau riche assholes who need all the Township's land to build their homes. They can go fuck themselves.
Guest Dr. Wrestlingphysics Posted September 12, 2002 Report Posted September 12, 2002 Where I live: Stafford, Staffordshire, England, Britain, Europe. Pop.: approx 90,000 ish History: Pre Domesday book (1086 ad) Bad points: generally a good town, but not enough major stores to feed my wrestling video appetite.
Guest Russ-atron Posted September 12, 2002 Report Posted September 12, 2002 where I live: Paradise, California why it sucks: nothing to do, but the big "party town" Chico is about 20 minutes away. They had the girls gone wild people filming a few weeks ago.
Guest DARRYLXWF Posted September 12, 2002 Report Posted September 12, 2002 Where I live: Melbourne, Australia History: Once the richest city in the world (Goldrush) Why it sucks: It doesn't. In fact, it's often claimed to be the most livable city in the world.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted September 13, 2002 Report Posted September 13, 2002 Where I live: St. Louis, MO Why it sucks: The weather is usually either hot and stuffy or cold, the people around here are idiots, save a select few, when you mention St. Louis to the general teenager they go 'Oh, yeah, that Nelly city', and there's not much to do except a couple of Malls and the occasional GCW show at North County Tech school other than that, it's good. And the malls aren't bad, and the wrestling shows are good (I'm gonna get some tapes, load a match or 2 to the 'ol comp and have them up on the Server, hopefully)
Guest BigPoppaKev Posted September 13, 2002 Report Posted September 13, 2002 Where I live: Auburn, Massachusetts Why it sucks: Everything here is crowded. The streets, the mall, the restraunts, the schools. Everything. Too many people moved here in the past 10 years and business/schools didn't adjust to the jump in population. Also everyone always seems to know about your business.
