Guest Midnight Express83 Report post Posted September 12, 2002 Keep in mind this is the first poem I wrote since I was in 8th grade. So I suck at it. And this isn't flame baiting. Or anything positive, it is just down the middle. September 11 Sent close to 4000 to Heaven. Bush goes on War on Terror. Goes after Iraq because of Father’s error. US Pride comes from people to remember Yet this pride only last to December Life goes on for me. Except Media keeps covering it on my TV. Arab-Americans live in fear. Yet rest of America cares more about Britney Spears During a moment of Silence dust comes up exactly one year later Yet it just comes from a storm starting from the equator. People mourn the lost of love ones. Yet some in Europe and Asia think Today is a good enough to poke fun. Life goes on for me. Except Media keeps covering it on my TV. There were 5 moments of silence today. Yet some shows talk if any team can beat Green bay. People try to show respect Even at the expense of common sense intellect. Some want to wave Old Glory while standing on top of a ledge. While others want the word “God” taken out of the pledge. Life still goes on for me. Except media keeps covering it on my TV.
