Guest Respect The 'Taker Report post Posted September 13, 2002 I just found out a place nearby where i can buy the thing, and it is noted that RIC FLAIR VS BRET HART is on the tape. Right after a smark orgasim, i read SHAWN MICHAELS VS BRET HART IN A LADDER MATCH. I soon collapsed and had an fit out of too much of a good thing... My question is, are both matches in their total entirity? And personal star ratings from people who have the tape would be welcome too. Thanks! Illusion - WHOOOO! LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2002 I haven't seen Flair/Bret, but I have seen the ladder match which is also on "Most Unusual Matches Ever" I heard that the ladder match is in it's entirety on Smack em Whack em. I'd give it about ***1/2. It's not better than HBK/Razor, but it does have pretty good psychology for a ladder match, plus it was the first ladder match in the WWF. Awesome...well its either this show, or Survior Series 1996, one of my all time favourites that i've never been able to track down. I have both available to me now, but only enough cash to buy one.. Ahh! I CANT DECIDE!
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2002 I'd go for Survivor Series since it probably has more continuity. Smack em Whack em might also have some duds along with those good matches as a lot of those tapes did back then.
Guest .3.0.7. Report post Posted September 13, 2002 i have smack'em whack'em.. it has bret vs flair (my viewpoint: *** 1/2 - *** 3/4), bret vs shawn (about *** 1/2 tops, but no crazy ladder spots, mostly just wrestling for the chance to get up the ladder).. both matches in their entirety (flair - bret might be edited a *BIT*, but i don't think it is). as well, bret vs kamala, um.. repo man vs earthquake (maybe, i can't remember).. and undertaker vs razor ramon (i think it's on that tape). i also have ss'96, and it's an AWESOME show. the opening match is about ***3/4 or even ****, taker - mankind is good (***, maybe.. but taker goes all PSYCHOLOGICAL), the rock's first wwf televised match (which is boring as hell, but funny to see rock with a 'fro), BRET - AUSTIN (at the very least **** 3/4), and a GOOD SID MATCH (vs shawn, *** - *** 1/2). what more could you ask for? only one shitty match, and one pretty boring one. but 4 good ones. depending on where you live and what's in your collection, we could set up a trade if you'd like. that way, you'd get both shows and you'd only have to tape something for me, instead of paying me. Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted September 13, 2002 I have Smack-em Whack-em, and would give both matches around **** or higher.

Guest .3.0.7. Report post Posted September 14, 2002 I rented it at Deirbergs 2 for a dollar and copied it. i traded survivor series 1996 and one night only 1997 for smack'em whack'em and spring stampede 1999, but i saw it at a blockbuster last year for 5 bucks (used).
