Guest Goodear Report post Posted September 13, 2002 ** At the Wild Samoan Training Center in Whitehall, PA; Ejiro Fasaki is going through the paces inside the ring. Taking backdrops and hiptosses from the eager students, Ejiro hardens himself for the punishment he is sure to recieve at SJL Crimson against both Jack The Ripper and Cutthroat. Each time he takes a throw, Fasaki races back to his feet as though the idea of being on the mat repulses him. As the legendary wrestler Afa calls for a break, Ejiro slides to the outside of the ring, takes a swig of water, and turns to the camera and reporter, Ben Hardy. ** Ben: You seem to be taking quite the pounding in there. Ejiro: Yeah *laughs* well it's pretty easy to practice by beating the stuffing out of other people. I always figured that in wrestling taking a beating was the hard part, so you might as well work on that part of the sport... and I do mean sport there Ben. Ben: Meaning? Ejiro: Meaning that I see a lot of people putting a whole lot of emphasis on the entertainment aspect of wrestling and a little light on the sport portion. Shoot, I like hot lesbian action and same sex marriages as much as the next guy, but you don't see Marshall Fault and Kurt Warner exchanging vows on Sunday afternoons do you? Ben: No. Ejiro: Of course not, because football treats itself with respect. Wrestling doesn't. Wrestling will do any shocking thing we can think of in an attempt to get some attention. And then the people who call the shots don't understand why people think it's all a big joke to the general populace. Ben: You sound bitter. Ejiro: Ehhh.... a little. It would be nice to be a little more respected for what we can do. But respect doesn't pay the mortgage, and promoters do what they have to, I know I wouldn't want the job. Shoot, it allways breaks down to men and women fighting each other in the end anyway, so what do I know? Ben: And you're going to be fighting in a few days against both Cutthroat and Jack the Ripper in a triple threat match... Ejiro: That's right. Ben: What are your thoughts on the match? Ejiro: I'm not the guy to tell you i'm just going to walk out there and beat the stink off someone. I'll do it first and then I'll talk about it later. *laughs* Why boast about stuff that hasn't happened and might never happen? Hell I might as well brag that I'm going to take El Luchadore Magnifico down in a minute and a half next week and retire SWF champion twelve years from now. There doesn't seem to be much of a point to all that. I'll go out and do what I have to... because the alternative just doesn't apeal to me. Ben: What alternative? Ejiro: Losing. Ben: Fair enough. * The trainees start to assemble in the ring... * Ejiro: Well, it looks I've got to get back to work. Have a good one, Ben.
Guest El Luchadore Magnifico Report post Posted September 13, 2002 (Y) at JL promo reference. Good stuff, I definitely enjoy Ejiro's character.
Guest Powerplay Report post Posted September 13, 2002 Again, I like the character simply because he wrestles for GOD DAMN WRESTLINGS SAKE! He's a normal guy who likes to wrestle, which to me is one of the coolest gimmicks that's not even a gimmick. Props to Ejiro (And the name isn't that bad to learn) for 'keeping it real'. And we need to get a hardcore title now, cause just about half a dozen guys have a Vit of 6 or more. Edit: And ELM, that is one weird-ass site you have linked. But ninjas riding zambonis =(Y)(Y)(Y)(Y) in my book.
Guest kelloggs Report post Posted September 13, 2002 Ejiro promo's again. I'm liking the character but bumping. Screw taking a beating. No sell and then knock people out with one reverse ROLLING ELBOWAH~. Good stuff
Guest Goodear Report post Posted September 13, 2002 Ejiro promo's again. I'm liking the character but bumping. Screw taking a beating. No sell and then knock people out with one reverse ROLLING ELBOWAH~. Good stuff Hey! You don't just wake up one day impervious to pain... unless you do. You probably do. I don't know... I feel pain when I sit down too long (WUSSY!). I guess if I could get pounded all day long, I would let it happen to me all the time, just to show off. I just thought it would be neat if the wrestler doing a training promo was actually taking hits instead of giving them out. Actually I did one of these before in a another fed, but instead of just taking throws and such, I actually had some random 18 year old beat the hell out of my wrestler while his tag team partner cut a promo.
