Guest O.J. Hart Report post Posted February 26, 2002 I think the unfunniest would be Orange County. It just didn't live up to hype and all the funny stuff in the commercials was cut from the movie. Dude Where's My Car? was really dumb too. It was funny the first time I saw it, but just got fumber and dumber when losers at my school kept saying "And Then...." constantly all day long. The funniest comedy movie of all time is Office Space. Milton again and again mumbling "He took my stapler. Mr. Lumberg you have my stapler" was one of the funniest things ever. And everyone kicking the bejesus out of the fax machine was awesome. And Lumberg always going "Yea,um.........Yea.........OK......Yea" was just hilarious. What's you're most favorite/unfavorite comedy movie ever?
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted February 26, 2002 The most unfunny comedy I have seen is probably Superstar. This movie didn't have one funny scene in it. It's almost hard to discribe my dislike for this movie. All I can say is that it sucks ass. The funniest is probably Super Troopers. This was one sweet surprise when I saw it because it is pretty underrated and pretty damn funny.
Guest TUS_02 Report post Posted February 26, 2002 I laugh at pretty much every funny movie. I can't think of any really bad ones, but the funniest is Wet Hot American Summer, hands down. I'll recomend this to anyone until the day I die. It's made by David Wain and Michael Showalter of The State and has some other members (Ken Marino, Joe Lo Trulio [sp?] and Michael Ian Black) It also has the guy who plays Keller in Oz (he probably has the funniest parts in the movie) Highly recomended. Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted February 26, 2002 I agree with SuperStar being the worst. My two favorites are Best in Show and Bean. I liked Best In Show because I thought it would be lousy going in, but it ended up being UNBELIEVABLE. I'm probably one of the ten Rowan Atkinson fans in the world, so that covers my second pick. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted February 26, 2002 Well i've seen lots of bad ones but i'll just discuss the ones that people told me were one of the funniest movie they have seen. The Nutty Professor(Eddie Murphy): To steal a Bill Walton line it was hoooorrible. The only scene that was even remotely humerous was the dinner table scene with the family. That scene grows old QUICKLY and it's vastly overrated on the comedy scale by far too many. American Pie: I always get people amazed that i can hate this movie so save it. This movie is terribly overrated both on a comedy side and as a movie itself. The movie has less then 5 scenes that are actually humerous. Most of those were "what in the hell is he doing" type of comedy not "omg that is the funniest thing ever" type so blah. If that isn't bad enough they then go and kill the movie with an ending that is actually done in a serious manner. The only thing that saved the movie from being total shit was Eugene Levy(the father) and Seann William Scott (Stifler) as they were the only two guys that seem to actually have comedic abilty. The rest of the cast were annoying bad actors who just happened to fall into somewhat humerous siturations. Amazingly, i liked the sequel which had a better story and had more and better comedic scenes. I won't get into funniest comedy because sense of humors vary greatly from person to person and I have a rather odd sense of humor.
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted February 26, 2002 Feh, look at all of you young whippersnappers naming off movies over the past five years. None of you have seen the grandious mediocrity, the paragon of putridness, that alpha and omega of all that is unfunny: CANNONBALL RUN 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But for recent movies, Scary Movie 2 was really lame.

Guest fazzle Report post Posted February 26, 2002 Funniest: Office Space, Army of Darkness Unfunniest: Say It Isn't So. Gawd, I think that might be the only comedy I've ever seen where I didn't at least laugh once.

Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted February 27, 2002 What did you guys think of the Revenge of the Nerds series? The name Louis Skolnick always cracks me up. I don't have any idea why I'm even bringing this up...
Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted February 28, 2002 well Ready to Rumble is listed as a comedy, nothing was unfunnier than that, I mean a toilet paper truck crashes into a septic truck, who over 6 found that funny? funniest movie...Shrek possibly because I was expecting it to be a kid movie
Guest bdolo Report post Posted February 28, 2002 funniest: South Park the movie: I know a lot of people do not like south park, but this is a great movie, there are so many good parts worst: Animal: This movie sucks so bad, not funny at all,I thought it would be awesome since I liked Deuge Bigelow so much. Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted March 2, 2002 Seeing how's there such a plethora of movies out there, I'm narrowing mine from the past 10 years... I never "saw" the movie, but I can honestly say I've never seen anything as awful as "Gone Fishing." I worked at a theater when it opened up and after watching bits and pieces of it I can honestly say that I've never seen anything so atrocious before in my life... Labeling a comedy "the best" is quite difficult to do since there's so many forms of comedy. For spoofs nothing made me laugh harder than "Don't be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood." But other films that got quite a few laughs out of me include, but not limited to, Army of Darkness, As Good as it Gets, Office Space and South Park. BTW: Is Super Troopers really that good? The previews look awful.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted March 2, 2002 Super Troopers is fucking great. The previews only show 2 scenes, the burger-spit scene and the first scene, and those are pretty dull (at least the parts that they showed). And Farva (the fat trooper in the burger-scene) doesn't attack the kids because of the burger, just so ya know. FUNNIEST: Anything Trey Parker and Matt Stone are a part of. This includes: Cannibal! The Musical, BASEketball, Orgazmo, and South Park: Bigger, Longer, And Uncut. That's 2 musicals, and 2 really fucked-up comedies. Ghostbusters is hands-down my favorite comedy of all-time, because when you're only 3 or 4 and see it for the first time, you laugh because of the easy-to-understand jokes. Then, when you're older, you get all the GREAT jokes (most of which are sexual in base). UNFUNNIEST: Scary Movie is probably the lamest comedy I have ever seen in my entire life. Guest Stupendous Man Report post Posted March 3, 2002 Funniest: Mallrats J&SB Strike Back Spaceballs Stripes Uncle Buck Office Space Unfunniest: American Pie (actually found the sequel to be humorous) Scary Movie Freddy Got Fingered Orgazmo (BASEketball and South Park were much improved)

Guest godthedog Report post Posted March 4, 2002 funniest: probably 'the big lebowski.' the only comedy that gets funnier every time i see it ('rain man' also gets funnier every time i see it, but most people wouldn't consider it a comedy. unfunniest: 'rat race.' i HATE this movie. in fact, i hate the english language for not providing me with the means to properly express my hatred for this movie. it would take a book to describe how bad the entire movie is, but i'll just illustrate my point from one scene: rowan atkinson is trying to get to new mexico to win some money. wayne knight picks him up in a van & offers to take him there, because he's transporting a heart to el paso to be transplanted. he dares atkinson to look at the heart, which is in a cooler. atkinson does, & of course loses it on the floor. then, of course, they manage to let it fall out the window & into a field. a dog finds the heart in the field, & atkinson and knight wrestle it away from the dog. knight is worried that he'll get fired because the heart has dirt & teeth marks on it, and won't be adequate for a transplant. he proposes that they kill a drifter and steal his heart. he decides to try to kill atkinson instead, & atkinson runs away. then somehow (i forget how), he runs into an electrified fence with the heart in his hand. the heart starts beating. go back and read that paragraph one more time. now, ask yourself: "What, in that scene, was funny?" if you have any kind of answer to that question, darwin has you in his sights already & you will probably not get to reproduce before you die. Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted March 4, 2002 Funniest: Naked Gun series, and Chicken Run Unfunniest: Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead - The best about this movie is the fact that the sound went out for about 10 minutes, thus I received free passes to another movie. Bedazzled - I believe when I went to see this movie at the mall, the fire alarms went off, the entire mall I had to be cleared, and the theatre had to close for the day. I should have taken this as a sign. Being an idiot, I went to see this movie the next week, and it royally sucked. Mafia - The only funny part of this movie was at the end of movie. Everything else was boring, unfunny, and had me scratching my head as to why I actually bought this movie. Luckily, I was able to give this movie away to someone, who promptly complained to me because the movie was so terrible.
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted March 4, 2002 Funniest: Ski School:Absolutely hysterical, and highly quotable. One of the true great 80's "party comedies". They made a sequel, but it wasn't that great. Only the main character from part 1 was in it, and the storylines were in no way related. Mallrats:Probably the least acclaimed of the Smith flicks, but the funniest one (IMO) by far. Jason Lee is hilarious. Porky's:How could anyone NOT put this on here? Gross out humor long before the American Pie generation, and the first of the 80's sex comedies. The sequels weren't as good, but all in all this is one of the truly funny comedy series. UNFUNNY: Police Academy 7:Mission To Moscow. God this sucked. This really sucked. Actually, any Police Academy after the 3rd one was just another step down...and this was the final straw. Mallrats fans might notice Brandi (Claire Forlani) in this one. Scary Movie 2:The first one was OK, but this one was just BLEH. Saw it in the theater this past summer and wasn't impressed. But I'll probably go see the third one, just because. Responding to a previous post: I own all 4 of the Revenge of the Nerds movies. They're pretty funny, but nothing really downright hysterical. Parts 1 and 2 were great, Part 3 was really slow and dull, and I haven't watched part 4 since it was on FOX back in 1994. But hey, I got it at a 2 for $5 video sale at the local mall...why pass it up.

Guest One Bad Apple Report post Posted March 11, 2002 Off the top of my head, worst are anything by either Kevin Smith or the South Park jerks. The funniest is "Baby's Day Out." It was also sad, 'cause I felt for the kidnappers and it was so upsetting when they went to jail. This is for something intentionally funny, or there'd be a ton of other movies I'd put ahead of this. Guest Mark4steamboat Report post Posted March 17, 2002 Big Daddy was really funny. Not the best comedy but one of my guilty pleasures. The worst has to be Scary Movie 2.
