Guest DRAWMUH Posted September 14, 2002 Report Posted September 14, 2002 I'm predicting it will be no other than CM Punk. This will be one of the best shows this year. Definitely. It *could* have a better death match than Deja Vu. If the opponent IS CM Punk...it would have one of the best title defenses this year. (compared to The Messiah, Mondo, Acid, 4-way). The only thing missing from this show so far is a good "name" singles cruiser match. The other matches on the card are the H8 Club vs. Lost Boyz, Backseat Boyz vs. TNT, and The Rachies vs. Irish Drinking Team. I am curious to who Ruckus faces. And I wouldn't be surprised t see Nick Mondo face Messiah. And expect another Lobo/Zandig confrontation and a IWS match.
Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted September 14, 2002 Report Posted September 14, 2002 I could see NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Champ Jimmy Rave, who they're teasing as "the new member of Team Wildside", coming in for the Justice Pain match. I've heard CM Punk's name's been thrown around too. Really, the logical thing to do would be to get a debuting Wildside guy in there with Justice to logically let the CZW-Wildside angle continue to process.
Guest gangsteruwa Posted September 14, 2002 Report Posted September 14, 2002 You forgot a couple matches. I don't think BSB vs. TNT is set to occur, maybe it is, but I'm not sure (hahaha, that rhymed). Here is the semi full card from CZWFans.com: BJW Heavyweight Title Deathmatch - Wifebeater vs. Necro Butcher CZW World Heavyweight Title - Justice Pain © vs. (Open Challenge) The H8 Club vs. The Lost Boys Ladders & Tables Match - Josh Prohibition vs. M-Dogg 20 Irish Drinking Team (Chris Stylz & Ian Knoxx) vs. The Rachies (Adam Flash & Danny Rose) Jeff G. Bailey of NWA-Wildside will also be bringing along TNT and Jimmy Rave to Philadelphia Plus some huge surprises at the show! I'm definately buying this tape when it comes out. Not so much for Wifebeater vs. Necrobutcher, but for basically everything else. Maybe throw in a Sick Nick Mondo vs. Messiah match, perhaps Trent Acid in a singles match for the CZW/BJW Junior Title, Nick Berk vs. someone, a Ruckus match, and a few more suprises and this is set up to be great. I'm not sure who Justice Pain's opponent is, but they (being people that work at CZW) said it was someone you wouldn't expect to see in CZW. They also said the fans have been talking about him for a while. I frequent the CZWFans message board and most of them want to see CM Punk, AJ Styles or Christopher Daniels. Quite frankly they do fit the "someone you wouldn't expect to see in CZW" catagory so I'm guessing one of them. However I'm not getting my hopes up. I also heard it might be Shane Douglas, which I would probably mark for, but I'd rather see one of the previous three. Plus Shane Douglas was mentioned in a Justice Pain promo where he said something like, "Old man, you used to call people out in this arena (viking hall), but now I'm the one making the challanges." So maybe that is a setup.
Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted September 14, 2002 Report Posted September 14, 2002 I don't think it'll be AJ or Daniels, as they work for ROH, and CZW is in a quasi-feud with ROH. Plus, AJ's really hardcore on his Christian beliefs, and I don't think he'd work in a group employing a guy who calls himself "The Messiah". I could be wrong, just a thought.
Guest Sandman9000 Posted September 14, 2002 Report Posted September 14, 2002 Sean Waltman's name has been thrown around too. I hope for CM Punk, or maybe Chris Hero. Anyone but Billy Fives.
Guest DRAWMUH Posted September 15, 2002 Report Posted September 15, 2002 I am banking on someone who hasn't been in CZW before. If it isn't CM Punk...an if it IS AJ Styles...that would just bring the NWA Wildside feud to a whole new level. But I wouldn't be shocked if another XPW wrestler jumped ship.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted September 15, 2002 Report Posted September 15, 2002 It was Punk...from what I heard it was a **** to ***** match...Punk got a 5 minute standing ovation when it was over with. Pain wins
Guest Sandman9000 Posted September 15, 2002 Report Posted September 15, 2002 I've heard conflicting reports. One was that Pain/Punk was the 4-5 stars, great match. The other was that the match was decent, but not living up to the hype that CZW presented, and that the match went too long, making the fans testy. The show itself seemed decent enough, but not a blockbuster show. I'm ordering tapes Monday, having tracked down envelopes and stamps, and I don't think I'll be getting this one. Not yet. ME was Wifebeater/Nick Mondo vs. Necro Butcher/Mr. Insanity Toby Klein. And, Messiah came out at the end with the whole locker room behind him, and gave an emotional speech.
