Austin vs. Perfect on Raw tonight!

If this match turns out to be Austin squashing Hennig, like Kane did last week I'll be mightily pissed off.  I'm praying that they give them at least 8 minutes befopre all the inevitable shenanigins (sp?) start with nWo.  I want to see if Perfect can really still work, two quasi-matches on Raw aren't enough to gauge his current ability.

i'm also curious to see if Hennig can still bring it in the ring. He really hasn't shown me anything since he's been back. Austin-Prefect could be good providing Perfect can still bring it.

I hope we can see a good match here, but what I thin will happen is Perfect will be getting his ass kicked by Austin, then the nWo will probably come out and kick Austins ass for revenge.

He kept up pace with RVD at the house show I went to.  The match was short...but I was impressed with his ability to keep up with a guy that quick.  I think Perfect can still bring it.

I wouldn't be surprised if Perfect gets the win after the nWo beats up Austin. Austin probably beats the shit out of Perfect before the nWo runs-in.

RVD/ Perfect at mania sounds good to me if bps is right about Hennig.  I think he is and I hope so as well.  Now if WWF would just let the guy be PERFECT for Christ's sake.

Perfect's gum swatting kicks ass.  Too bad he missed it on Raw.  But his Rumble gum swatting performacne was PERFECT.

I don't even see this going 5 minutes unfortunately. I doubt it will be the main event, but probably to start hour 2. NWO will run in at some point and maybe we'll see another decent angle out of it by the end. The actual match will be nothing though, I would guess.

This is probably booked only for the nWo to do a run in.  It will probably go 1-2 minutes before the nWo comes out.

Austin seems pissed about having to wrestle a midcarder on the midcard of WrestleMania.

 

I think Henning didn't know what to do when Austin didn't show up.

Sounds like austin is coming down with a problem that ailed wcw, the only way your going to get new main eventers are to elevate midcarders, austin just needs to remeber that.

If Austin was bitching about putting over RVD or Benoit(assuming the WWF would ever elavate them) it would be different.

while i might disagree that Hall is a no talent essentially i agree with you. but it shouldn't be just up to the writer's to go "hey this guy is ready for the big time" guys like austin should be able to judge when a jericho or a RVD are ready nd to willingly help them elvate themselves. but than i'm an idealist.

hennig did not show up either. He still has the ring rust and the dead crowd didn't help any.

 

Why would Austin want a program with any of the NWO members. They have not done one thing to help his career besides leaving the WWF. They are older than him, less talented, and are put in a position of power (upper card, main event) without working up towards it. They haven't proven shit!

Same for RVD.  He should have been IC champ at Rumble.  It appears his time is coming now...but they could still blow it.

i agree it was partly ring rust on henning's part but i think it was more that you can't have a good match with some one who doesn't want to be there and SCSA didn't want to be there.

you're right, and that was the one time Shane O Mac was at his most effective, as Benoit's voice. He was a legit badass.

i don't know what thread it was, but i had mentioned earlier that it is hard to put on much of an effort when the work will be forgotten five minutes later when the match is just a backdrop for an nwo run in.

it's lazy writing at its finest and it brings the quality of the whole show down.

 

As for Heyman and Benoit, that would be a true heel tandem. Have Heyman shoot on Austin and Trips or RvD. have Benoit carry out the dirty work. Plus, the matches will be great.

i know i waked into (well clicked into) a discussion about that on the old boardand iwas like holy shit why couldn't the wwf figure that out.

 

remember when heymen first started doing commentary he did a great job of getting benoit's phisique over by saying  basically,"look at the size of those arms when those squeze your head your going to tap!" just a great line that can't be matched by any of the other announcers.

I think it wouldn't catch on with most of the rednecks. I would love it because IT's TRUE! but most rednecks would resent Heyman's honesty. Just make him an assassin or a hitman who does the dirtyt work of his manager.
