Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted February 26, 2002 it seems easy but than so did making the wcw invasion a succsses, but i pray it would happen, i'd love heyman to use benoit to get revenge on everybody who mistreated him,
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 26, 2002 It can all start with Heyman complaining that when HHH came back he got video packages...a big return segment...the title shot at Mania. And Benoit got nothing.
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted February 26, 2002 and from there, the possibilities are endless. Booker T, RVD (YES!), Jericho, Angle, Austin, Rock, until he gets to Champion Trips(it's gonna happen). After a few months of Heyman's verbal barrage, someone rises o the occasion and beats Benoit and ends Heyman's insults.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted February 26, 2002 and then there's Jericho, benoit's old buddy, heyman just goes off about how benoit carried him how benoit was the real talent in their team, how HE should have been the first undisputed champ.... i'm loving it
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted February 26, 2002 The Austin/Perfect match was sad to watch. Both guys called that one in.
Guest old_mort_wwfe Report post Posted February 26, 2002 Man..whatever made prefect awesome in the past has obviously come and gone. He looked terrible last night ..i knew there was trouble when his promo sounded he had been attending the Sid School of Promo delivery...geez
Guest Coffin Surfer Report post Posted February 26, 2002 Benoit as the monster heel, with Heyman doing the talking would be undeniably great. But come on, this the WWF, Benoit will return and fued with Goldust. After Dustin's interference allows Billy Gunn to get a victory against Benoit during a HEAT classic. Well maybe it won't be that bad. I try to think optimistic when the WWF's booking, that way I won't be to disappointed.
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted February 26, 2002 sorry man, no match with Billy Gunn can be deemed a classic. as for benoit, i don't think he'll be on heat. mabe jakked or metal but not heat.
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted February 26, 2002 Man..whatever made prefect awesome in the past has obviously come and gone. He looked terrible last night ..i knew there was trouble when his promo sounded he had been attending the Sid School of Promo delivery...geez I also noticed how bad he delivered his promo. I couldn't belive. He wasn't the greatest talker, but he wasn't like that. The Austin/Perfect match was a dissappointment.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted February 26, 2002 it wasn't just perfect's fault the match was bad austin phoned it in BIG time.
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted February 26, 2002 for the sake of defending both guys, i'll reemphasize this point. It would be hard to gt worked up for a match when the entire point is to set up a run-in by the NWO. Jim Ross admitted as much.
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted February 26, 2002 I know it wasn't Perfect's fault. The match should of been better. Like goodhelmet said. It's hard to get worked up knowing you're only working to wait for a run-in.
Guest Supafly420 Report post Posted February 26, 2002 I was surprised at Perfect's promo last night, but then I got an idea. They're trying to push him like he's not perfect anymore, so maybe he was SUPPOSED to mess up. It all seems to go with the new gimmick, IMO. But then again, maybe that's just me trying desperately to defend Perfect because he's my favorite all time heel.
Guest Army Eye Report post Posted February 27, 2002 What kind of excuse of that? There are tons of matches that have run-ins during or afterwards. The match went to completion , what is the problem with giving an effort during it?
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted February 27, 2002 you are Steve Austin. you have been the focal point of the federation for the last year. you're looking forward to headlining Mania against the Rock or HHH. Instead the NWO comes in and you are stuck in a match with Scott Hall or Kevin Nash if hall fucks up. It's clear that management or vince or whoever doesn't appreciate your keeping the company afloat the last year and bustin your ass! You phone it in w/Jericho, knowing the nwo will run-in. you phone it in with perfect, knowing the same result is happening. Austin is now an official conspiracy victim! Guest Coffin Surfer Report post Posted February 27, 2002 "sorry man, no match with Billy Gunn can be deemed a classic." I hope you don't think that out of a joke post, the only part I intended to be taken serious was that Billy Gunn would be an a classic match.

Guest Ihatesmarksandmarks Report post Posted February 27, 2002 well if austin is going to whine and pout and not try hard the next few weeks then vince should stop putting him in matches on tv....whats the point if austin's just gonna dog it anyway? get someone in their who gives a shit....another example of austin getting a free ride with the smarks, while they bash HHH....Austin is the TRUE master politicain in the back. Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted February 27, 2002 First off with respect to the Austin-Perfect match: I think someone (who I don't recall) described it well when they wrestled the first 5 minutes of a 30 minute match. Given enough time I think they could put together a great old school match. As for Benoit: I find it funny that people on the net talk about how he'll be depushed or jobbed or on heat or whatnot, when throughout his entire WWF career he has been pushed well and made to look good. I can't, off the top of my head, think of one situation where Benoit was made to look REALLY bad. Either he wins his feuds while beating the shit out of guys (such as his feud with Gunn and most of his matches with Jericho) or he loses a close, hard fought match or feud, often coming within inches of winning (feuds with Rock, Angle, etc.). Benoit has never had to "honky-tonk" his way to victories, or anything similar. The WWF has done a remarkably good job of protecting him and making sure he stays looking good, actually.
