Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2002 As I play NFL2K2 as the Southeast Allstars (Favre, Manning, Edgerrin, Terrell, Moss, Rice, Emmitt and Sapp), I take on the 2K2's Texans (which are a generic team. 15 minute quarters. After one quarter, it's 42-0 Allstars At Halftime, I make it 110 to 6 for my team. After three, it's 156 to 6. and at the end, it's 234 to 6. All in all.. 784 yards passing, 1058 yards rushing. 18.2 yard average on passes, 16.4 average for rushing. Favre goes 24-36 with 734yrds and 9TDs. Peyton goes 3-4 for 48yrds (he was in for the entire second half) Terrell with 362yrds rushing and 9TDs Edgerrin with 282yrds on the ground and 7TDs Other Rushing TDs come from Fred Taylor (3), Larry Centers (2), Emmitt (1) and an S. Davis (1) 266yrds rushing for Moss, 230yrds for Rice, 157yrds for Shannon Sharpe. We get the ball kicked to us three times. Second time we get it, 103yrds from Eric Moulds. Touchdown. On the other side.. their QB went 17-68 with 142yrds their HB got 73yrds on 53 attempts They punted 15 times and gave up the ball 12 times on failed tries to get a first down on fourth down. 1842 yards total offense for us, 207 for them I just blew them away. By far.. the best moment in sports game blowouts.

Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2002 Well.. I did rally in the fourth quarter so I could beat 222 points (as in the 222-0 game between G-Tech and Cumberland). It's not my problem that my running backs kept scoring. what the hell am I supposed to do, not try?
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted September 14, 2002 You coulda been like the Eagles coach and just sat on your big league in the 2nd half. You coulda just kicked fgs too..
Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2002 Nah.. I still sucked at kicking. With all the extra points I missed, I could have made it like 242 to 6. and yes.. Houston scored two field goals. Sorta funny to hear the announcers say that me spiking the ball on extra point tries would cost me the game when I was up 200 points. Guest jimmy no nose Report post Posted September 14, 2002 I can't believe you played 15 minute quarters. How could you sit through that? My biggest blowout I can remember was in Madden 2003, 3 minute quarters Pro Difficulty, no cheats or anything 66-3. I know I was the Steelers and I think my opponent was the Cleveland Browns. Their one field goal came from a questionable fumble recovery which I challenged and didn't get over turned. They lost 4 yards on the following drive, but still had an easy field goal. Big game for Plaxico Burress, something like 259 yards and 6 TDs. Bettis had one rushing, Kordell had one running, and Randle-El returned a kickoff 91 yards. I kicked a field goal right before half time because I wanted some points out of the drive and didn't know if I could take a shot at the end zone.
Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2002 I played 15 minute quarters because when I played 5 minute quarters (between the SE Stars and Cleveland), I was up 35-0 at the half. I was curious to see how many points I could score in 60 minutes. it all doesn't compare to like 20 rushing TDs.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted September 15, 2002 And here I was thinking that you played five minute quarters. Shame on you!
Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted September 15, 2002 My biggest blowout recently just happened yesterday. I was my created team the Portland Dragons, as I faced off against the Barcelona Dragons. 5 minute quarters in Madden 2003. The game started off terrible, as the bastards hogged the ball for most of the first quarter, so I was only up 7-3 at the end of the first. That would soon change, as I put up 21 points in the second quarter. The second half was brutal, as I kept just pouring it on the poor bastards. By the end of the game, my opponent quite literally gave up, as they gave me a PR TD(They managed to stop the punt returner quite well.) and an INT TD. I felt bad for Joe Germaine. He was the backup, who came in after I injured their starter. He ended up throwing two INT's on the day. The final score was 99-3. My running back had over 200 yards. My backup RB had 100 yards. Both broke 70 yards runs. My QB broke 300 yards. I set record after record for single games with this game. It brought me back to some old college football game I had for Sega Genesis where I would pick some college football also ran, and completely run over a Notre Dame or a Florida, like in one game where I beat Notre Dame 92-0. I think I even broke 100 points once in an 105-14 blowout victory.

Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted September 15, 2002 Anyone remember "Joe Montana Sports Talk Football"? I have it for my Sega, and I beat the Redskins the other day, before it broke, 108-0 with 5 minute quarters. Now that's a blow out!

Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 15, 2002 Anyone remember "Joe Montana Sports Talk Football"? I have it for my Sega, and I beat the Redskins the other day, before it broke, 108-0 with 5 minute quarters. Now that's a blow out! I blew out teams like that alot on Tecmo Bowl. If you set Madden on easy play mode it brings back memories of Tecmo Bowl because you can pick any "bomb route" play and throw to any player at any time and complete the pass 90% of the time. Guest Leena Report post Posted September 16, 2002 I read in a book that the biggest win in Madden (the original) was 277-0. I was really bored, and decided to play 15-minutes quarters, All-Madden vs. Atlanta. I won 413-0. 59 touchdowns, with constant on-side kicks and bombs. That was the only, and last time I've played 15-minute quarters. It may be why I can't stand football games anymore.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted September 16, 2002 I don't have the stomach to play 15 minute quarters. It becomes a chore and a waste of time after a while.

Guest phoenixrising Report post Posted September 19, 2002 My sophomore year in college, I lived in an apartment with three roommates. One is a big-time Raiders fan and likes to play, but only with me. It's pretty good actually, so all I have to worry about is the passing attack and I get a teammate to help on defense. Anyway we did Season mode with the Raiders and made a super team, including Barry Sanders at running back and an awesome offensive line. We play the Seahawks and win 117-17. The amusing point is that my friend scored touchdowns with Sanders on five straight offensive plays. The last one was a sight to see...the line created the BIGGEST hole I have ever seen in my history of playing Madden (all the way back to 95). It was a Single Back, HB Dive and the line cleared out EVERYBODY in the middle. You could have driven the Madden Cruiser through it, I swear. We still talk about that to this day.
