Y Tu Mama Tambien

Hey... just perusing through the "movies of 2002" thread (or something like that), and I forgot all about Y tu Mama Tambien when making my assesment. Of course the reason for this is I always wanted to see it, but being an "arty" film, I didn't have access to it, and it left theatres, and I was sad.

 

So... anyone know if/when its being released on DVD?

Ah, that film is the shiznit. I eagerly await its DVD release.

They are releasing it in "R-Rated" and "Unrated" versions on DVD. The unrated version has all the special features, because only idiots would buy the rated version.

If anyone saw it during its theatrical run, nothing in the unrated version will be new, as that was what was released. Of course I'll be getting that edition of the DVD, but it's sad whenever a filmmaker must chop up their movie for the sake of the Blockbusters of the world.

Yea, seriously, especially with a film such as this, what's the point of two separate versions? It's not like there's a drastic difference. I mean if you don't like part of a film just hit chapter skip or something.

PS: Thanks areacode, I keep forgetting amazon.com has pre-release dates. I mean I know they have them but it never strikes me as something to search for.
