Guest Leena Report post Posted September 15, 2002 Anna Pornikova lost in the finals of the Shangai Jobber Tournament to Anna Smashnova. Little Anna can't even win the lowest of the low tournaments. Oh well. Yes, this information does deserve it's own post! If Anna won, this result would have been mentioned on SportsCenter today. Her's is a story of futility, an epic struggle to traverse the rugged, unforgiving landscapes of this harsh, indifferent world, to finally climb a mountain and reach it's glorious summit by vanquishing her foes and winning a tournament. Do not criticize her but rather seek inspiration in Anna K's on-court determination to transcend her abortional on-court battles and become a champion.
