i appreciate the vote of confidence but wrestling isn't rocket science. I really feel sorry for the writers having todeal with all of the egos. Bob Armstrong once told Road Dogg it didn't matter who won or lost because it was all fake anyway. This was the perfect advice you could give anyone. Merchandising, incentives, main event status all get in the way of the betterment of the product and that is a shame.

If you are gonna push someone, then push them dammit. Don't do it half ass.

And if you build up interest in the midcard, it won't matter if a guy like the Taker or trips gets hurt because they can ALL be replaced, sooner or later.

I may be one of the few, but I marked out big time when  Chuck & Billy WASTED the APA in the bar.

 

And that was a very good match between Angle & Jericho.  Could've lived w/out the interference from Kane, or at least have him do something to Angle before tossing him back in the ring.  Too bad the crowd was dead for the majority of the match.

I thought Raw was fantastic. Not as good as last weeks, but good none the less. The Austin beat down at the end was cool. Thanks WWF. =)

You know, BPS and I agree on RVD.  I knew who the guy was in 1998 since he had been on ECW and also in the botched Invasion angle in 1997, but I had never thought much about him either way.  That is until his match with Bam Bam Bigelow in April 1998.  That is the one where he won the TV title.  Bear in mind that ECW used to be on a crappy public access station where I live, so it was sorta sleazy and had bad picture quality.  

 

Anyway, that match is possibly the last time I really marked out.  We're talking jumping out of the chair marking out here.  RVD's crazy plancha into the crowd was wild enough, but then he did that INSANE sommersault into the 5th row on Bam Bam and I was stunned.  From then on I paid special attention whenever RVD was on TV.  

 

Last week I suggested an angle with RVD being attacked by the NWO and then later destroying all 3 of them in about 30 seconds (hell, Austin sorta did that at the PPV).  I've seen him do that stuff before against the Triple Threat at November to Remember 98.  It was a bad show but it was insane seeing RVD get the tag and lay out Douglas, Bigelow, and Candido in about 30 seconds.  After that sequence my mom said "that guy is amazing, why isn't he on the WWF?"

 

Anyway, in regards to Raw.  I enjoyed the show ok tonight.  Even enjoyed some stuff that people have badmouthed like the Hogan promo and the APA bar skit.  It was tasteless to be sure but I used to like Police Academy movies.  Heh.

 

That was a good suggestion for WM earlier, the angle with Edge preventing Regal from using the knucks on RVD, only to then turn heel and challenge him for the next PPV.  That is the idea right?

that's the idea, simply because i'm tired of Regal. and Edge as a face is stale. He gets no mic time and his popularity is definitely overshadowed by RVD. Personally, I'd prefer if these guys stay away from the NWO angle and just put on some good matches.

I doubt the nWo wants to be anywhere near RVD. Since he's flashy in the ring. I hope RVD gets the IC Title. He isn't the greatest wrestler ever, and IMHO, workrate is overrated, but the IC Title needs to be on somebody who's over.

Too bad the Triple Threat didn't invade WCW instead of the nWo...that would have been a real InVasion, more so with ECW also coming to the WWF.  This is off topic but...anyone intrested in writing some fantasy booking with me where Hogan never came to WCW?
