If the option is available, I'll go to Waffle House at 2 AM and smoke & eat greasy food for a couple of hours, while reading a paper and despising the universe. Whenever I feel like a "loser" whose life is going nowhere fast I enjoy going out at night and gaze up at the stars. I accept the fact we are all animals on a planet in the middle of nowhere and we will all die someday. That can either lead you to an abyss or a great sense of adequacy as all urgency fades away. I don't have to do anything or be anyone, I can just enjoy life anyway I want to without irrational burdens weighing me down and when I die I die. It allows me to be less apprehensive of the future and more bold in the present. In high school I used to sulk around old-school Raven style, however cool it was it wasn't progressive as I wallowed in my depression and didn't confront and seek to overcome what was bothering me.
