i go for long wanders, chainsmoking and trying to visualise where in an ideal world i would like my life to be this time next year. then i run through all the permutations of what i could do to actually get my life to that point. when you make plans, genuine or otherwise, for the future like that, most of the shit which is clogging up your happiness in the here and now just fades into insignifcance, and you learn to put it aside and concentrate on what matters to get you where you want to go. that or masturbation, never underestimate masturbation.

I never really get depressed per se. For me, depression is the same thing as anger, and anger is dealt with by goin' out to my shed and wailing on the punching bag with a crowbar until I'm sweaty and sore, then sit down in the moth-eaten chair I've got out there and gettin' ripped, all while listening to something like Dying Fetus or Slayer.

 

That or go out back and shoot my shotgun. Shooting guns is an amazing release.
