Guest OlympicHeroY2J Posted September 16, 2002 Report Posted September 16, 2002 Now, I'm sure all of us remember the final WCW Monday Night Nitro ever. In my opinion, that show was THE example of a lackluster final show. I would think that, if you were having the last show ever, you would try to pull out all the stops. Make crazy matches never before seen. Have the wildest gimmick matches, knowing that the wrestlers will at least not have to wrestle the next day. Just go all out and make the most amazing card ever. But....WCW didn't do that. Now, if the WWE were to announce that tomorrow night was their last show ever, what do you think they should book ? Let's just make it...oh....five matches you think should be made to leave an impression in the fans' minds. No bringing guys back to the dead. No bringing them back from other promotions. Just use the guys they have. That includes Raw/Smackdown guys, Rock, Hogan, etc. Me, I would think... Triple Cage Match [from WCW days] - For the Unification of the Heavyweight Titles, once and for all: Brock Lesnar © vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Kurt Angle vs. Triple H Winner: RVD Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match for the Cruiserweight Title: Jamie Knoble © vs. Rey Misterio Jr. vs. Hurricane vs. Billy Kidman Winner: Rey Misterio Jr The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan - Liked it a lot at WrestleMania. Would love to see it again. Winner: Hulk Hogan - Final Match Ever for Hogan Chris Jericho vs. Eddie Guerrero vs. Chris Benoit, just for bragging purposes Winner: Chris Jericho *WAR GAMES* - Booker T/Goldust/Kane/Bradshaw vs. The UnAmericans & William Regal... I know these matches would never, EVER be given away for free on TV, but considering it would be the last WWE show ever, I think they would be some of the best matches of the year. What would you guys want to see ?
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted September 16, 2002 Report Posted September 16, 2002 I suppose start off with Triple H vs. Brock to unify the titles. (HHH wins) Vince Mcmahon make a suprise return and have a confrontation with Bischoff. 3 Minutes is called but they turn on Bischoff, leaving Mcmahon 'the victor'. RVD challenges Triple H, RVD wins. Kurt Angle challenges Ric Flair to a wrestling match (Angle wins). Benoit vs. Jericho vs. Booker T 3 way match (Booker T wins). Hulk Hogan returns with Edge and beats the UnAmericans for the tag titles. Rock and Austin make suprise returns decide to go at one last time to end the WWF, fans can decide who to cheer for. Rock finally gets his win over Austin. Both wrestlers celebrate post match and are interrupted by Jerry Jarret walking to a ring, followed by Jeff Jarrett appearing on RAW, and ending with a commercial for NWA-TNA. Nah just kidding about that last part ;-) but otherwise that's how I'd book the last ever WWF show.
Guest Flyboy Posted September 16, 2002 Report Posted September 16, 2002 Shouldn't this be in the Fantasy Booking folder?
Guest OlympicHeroY2J Posted September 16, 2002 Report Posted September 16, 2002 Eh, it could be. But: 1) I figure it'd get more replies here.... and 2) It's not exactly fantasy booking. These aren't storylines. Just what you would do on the last night. If it's moved, it's moved. By the way, I like the whole 3-Minutes thing with the Island Boyz turning on Bischoff and walking out with Vince. Closes up that chapter nicely....

Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted September 16, 2002 Report Posted September 16, 2002 Chris Jericho would beat HHH clean. I'd throw RVD over Brock for the world title...just because I say so. Benoit and Eddy would fight to a draw. Angle would beat someone too. Alot of people would be bitched out on TV too...just for fun
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted September 16, 2002 Report Posted September 16, 2002 Ok, I'm booking this assuming that all previous angles, gimmicks etc. can be thrown out the window and logic forgone in lieu of the fact that the company is gone tommorow. Winners: The Dudley Boyz Rey Mysterio Jr. vs Chavo Guerrero Jr. Winner: Rey. Edge and Christian vs The Hardyz in the very last ever Ladder Match for the WWF Titles.
