Guest Rob Edwards Report post Posted September 16, 2002 Most of the threads seem to be about the US threads thats all. So I'm wondering if it's worth trying to get any soccer discussion going, so to put it simply Who's a fan and whats your team Mines the mighty Hull City
Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted September 16, 2002 Ai! Soccer is the greatest sport on earth, and the most entertaining, and physical demanding sport there is. Oh and I like Chelsea
Guest DragonflyKid Report post Posted September 16, 2002 I have always loved playing soccer more than any other sport but for some reason I haven't been able to get into watching it. I have Fox sports world which has soccer but I can only watch for a few minuted then I feel inclined to go channel surfing, it may be that I have such a short attention span. Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted September 16, 2002 I played soccer (or football, if you want to call it that for this thread) 13 seasons... I watch the World Cup whenever it comes on... But that's really the only times I watch the sport, so my topics are rather limited -- sorry...

Guest razazteca Report post Posted May 17, 2003 Just a casual fan here I watch International friendlies whenever USA plays on ESPN or ABC. I tried to watch MLS but it gets no sold here, poor Dallas Burn. Andres Cantor is the best announcer in the world GOOOAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLL!
Guest Mr. Adam Report post Posted May 17, 2003 Yes, a football thread! I love the game, used to play but knee surgery cut that shit out. Favourite team is Bohemians FC baesd out of Dublin. Glen Crowe is the motherfucking main man!! Don't really support an English team, my whole family supports Manchester United but I didn't want to get on the 'glory hunter' trail with them. It sucks not having Sky Digital (or indeed any form of digital TV) so my enjoyment of games are somewhat limited at home. Especially now that Sky have all live rights to Ireland's home games now. Guest alkeiper Report post Posted May 18, 2003 I'm a Soccer/Football fan. Generally I try and watch every game of the World Cup. Besides that, there's just MLS, which I haven't gotten into due to the lack of a PA team.

Gert T 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2003 Yeah I'm very jingoistic with my soccer/football matches as I'd rather watch the international matches. I've been watching some on FSW and trying to watch MLS on ESPN2, what are some good websites to keep up with the Euro leagues?
Guest PencilJobber Report post Posted May 19, 2003 Some of the best websites i would say are WWW.Uefa.com or WWW.Fifa.com for results and such or my personal favourite WWW.PlanetFootball.com for rumours and upto date transfer news and stuff. Also don't know how easy it is to get in the USA but try to find WorldSoccer magazine its a monthly mag that is easily the best Football magazine. Guest Anorak Report post Posted May 19, 2003 I'm a Leicester City fan. I play myself on a Saturday so I don't own a season ticket or anything. I try to get down a few matches a season when possible.
Guest Damn You Helmsley Report post Posted May 19, 2003 Aston Villa, PSV Eindhoven, Juventus. With soft spots for Borussia Dortmund, Rennes, Caen and the Nigeria national team.
Guest KanadianKrusty Report post Posted May 19, 2003 I LOVE playing soccer but I hate watching it for some reason, of course, it's fun to watch sometimes (good crowd heat helps a lot) but everything happens so fast on the field when I play that I find it boring on TV. Guest WhenDanSaysJump Report post Posted May 19, 2003 As a small child : Watford. Purely on the basis of JOHN BARNES~! Then he moved to Liverpool, a little eight-year-old me happened to notice that we were winning everything in sight at the time, so like a true glory hog, I began supporting them... of course everything went a bit lean soon afterwards but meh. JOHN BARNES~! Liverpool FC here, in case you hadn't noticed.
Guest ally mccoist Report post Posted May 19, 2003 I'm a Glasgow Rangers fan, as you might have guessed from my name. I love football, but its a sport where sometimes it can be a bit shitty or boring to watch. I know some football fans will be happy to watch any game, no matter who is playing, but i am a lot more picky. I only watch Rangers games or big premiership or champions league games. I gotta say that Real Madrid are probably the best team in the world at the moment. The sheer class they have on that side is amazing. Oh yeah and HAHAHAHAAHA Man U won the title, fuck u arsenal fans. I was born in the same place as Alex Ferguson so i gotta support my homie whatever team hes at. Guest ally mccoist Report post Posted May 19, 2003 I assume you also watch A Question of Sport. I only sometimes watch it, like on saturday night coming back from a hectic night out. Depending on what state i'm in, its either midly amusing or really unfunny.
