Guest Anglesault Report post Posted September 17, 2002 This is the SECOND time this year that HHH has pulled this "You don't deserves to be champion, you will never be anything, you aren't in my league" shit, and signs are pointing to it being the second time he proves himself right. Someone has to put a stop to this. It worked with Jericho and Rock, because Jericho beat Rock, what 5 times after he said that? But HHH refuses to make anyone look good, and Vince is turning a blind eye to Hunter's actions. RVD, welcome to Jericho land. On a side note, why was Jericho's IC celebration bigger than his World title one? And why did they decided to make sure this feud with Flair was good and dead before restarting it? Guest Human Fly Report post Posted September 17, 2002 And why did they decided to make sure this feud with Flair was good and dead before restarting it? And why did they have HHH come and insult Flair? Just to see how many segments they could fit him in? I can see it now: Flair gets fired up by HHH, beats Jericho for IC, and then gets beaten by HHH the week after HHH overcomes that modern day gladiator Bubba Dudley! Guest NazMistry Report post Posted September 17, 2002 Well I guess we need to know if the exact opposite of Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan exists. Hulk Hogan: 1 man can make a promotion. Steve Austin: 1 man can save a promotion. Triple H: Can 1 man destroy a promotion? WCW was destroyed by several people, but Triple H is on a one-man mission to destroy the WWE. At least that what it looks like.
Guest chirs3 Report post Posted September 17, 2002 Five bucks says RVD drops to the Sleeper at Unforgiven.
Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted September 17, 2002 No doubt, this Trips By the Numbers as far as booking a feud to "elevate" a new guy, when really he's just trying to give himself something to do while Brock bombs as champion. You know, I really just don't care about this crap anymore. HHH's "shoot coments" are about as exciting as his usual rambling, and since me, being an internet fan, doesn't care about them at all, I don't see why he does it, since I'm part of the audience he's pandering to whenever he says them. Seriously, if he wants us to sit up and take notice, he should call RVD a pot-head, or something. Or, he could, you know, stop sucking in the ring. That would be nice. Guest NazMistry Report post Posted September 18, 2002 The thing is, this has gone beyond the point of reasonable. Vince must not care at all, I mean the fucking Sleeper? What the fuck? It's hardly a cheap heat move anymore, and the 'Franchise Player' as the WWE claims is using it to win matches. Give me a fucking break. The shoots on people which is beyond stupid. The fact that he is not programming with Jericho yet finds ways to make him stupid in little verbal confrontations they have is just being arrogant. Triple H's refusal to except who he is and what he can do is what pisses me off most. He refuses to acknowledge he is shit in the ring, he refuses to notice he is about 20lbs too heavy, he refuses to realise he is boring and is not as good as he once was. But the wost thing is Vince either doesn't realise this, or does and won't do anything about it.
Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted September 18, 2002 If RVD wins the World Title at Unforgiven, I'll be happier than a pig in shit. Actually, I want RVD to beat HHH for the World Title. If that doesn't happen, then what we saw on RAW last night, we'll continue to see until HHH loses the title.

I can see it now: Flair gets fired up by HHH, beats Jericho for IC, and then gets beaten by HHH the week after HHH overcomes that modern day gladiator Bubba Dudley! My Spidey sense is telling me they're probably building towards Flair and HHH at Survivor Series or No Mercy, with Flair going over for the title. One thing that pisses me off about this angle though is that if they were planning on putting Flair on a losing streak, why job Jericho to him at SummerSlam? Would it have killed them to make Chris look somewhat credible?
Guest IB2BLACK Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Maybe they try to align Flair & HHH, in a manager type situation.
Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted September 18, 2002 HHH© vs. Flair for the World Title would be pretty sweet to see. I'd love to see Flair win the World Title, and have one last reign as champion before he hangs up his boots.
Guest creativename Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Wow, I never thought Flair-HHH at a PPV before, but it does look like they're building up to something. During Flair's match with Rico, they were even commenting on how Flair said he would have one last run, but that he keeps losing. This would only serve to make Flair look bad, unless they build to Flair "snapping" and then going on a run. Maybe they'll have him terrorize HHH and have Flair win one last title as theorized. It would be pretty cool I think. (though of course it will take uber-interference for HHH to job to a fifty+ year old)
Guest IB2BLACK Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Didn't HHH beat Flair like a couple of weeks ago, on RAW? Also, what about RVD?
Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted September 18, 2002 And why did they have HHH come and insult Flair? I THINK they were trying to build up intrigue as to who his opponent was going to be. That could also explain why he was in the Bubba segment. Unfortunately, they seemed to do a very bad job of this, and it ended up going over most of the audience's heads. Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Didn't HHH beat Flair like a couple of weeks ago, on RAW? Also, what about RVD? Yeah, but that doesn't mean it can't happen at the Survivor Series. Also, RVD will probably have a match against someone else, I don't know who though.
Guest papacita Report post Posted September 18, 2002 (though of course it will take uber-interference for HHH to job to a fifty+ year old) Well HBK did say "What goes around comes around..."
Guest jester Report post Posted September 18, 2002 I said this in another thread, but I will repeat it here: it would be a great time for RVD to win, but for that stupid useless belt. The best possible thing for RVD in my mind would be to beat HHH clean, and then declare he does not believe in this fake belt and is not the World Champion, but he will be when he beats Brock Lesnar. Guest The Tino Standard Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Anybody else getting aggravated with how many times every show we have to listen to JR say that Triple H is "the very best in the business today"? I mean, I understand trying to promote your show's champion as being the top guy, but can you REALLY imagine him giving that much of a verbal blowjob to whomever holds the belt next? I can't. And for the record, Flair going over HHH for the title at Survivor Series is an awful idea. Flair is a geriatric. I know that in his prime, he put on some of the best matches ever, and even past his prime, he was still VERY solid. But the man is on his last legs. How many REALLY good matches has he had? It has been painful to watch. ... And for the record, I still think a Hogan-Flair retirement match in MSG at the Survivor Series would be the best thing they could do with either guy. What a way to go...
Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted September 18, 2002 What would be ideal would be for RVD to legitimize the World Title by beating HHH and then defending it every week on Raw to put him in possition of the #1 guy on that show. Whether or not that's going to happen is debatable.

Of course, Hogan would win and embarrass Flair for the 4,673,271,598th time. Jason
Guest Brian Report post Posted September 18, 2002 I expect HBK to interfere in the RVD match. I *heart* Flair and all but I can't see them giving him the title after the Hogan debacle. I hope they learned. What I see is more of a double-turn. Jericho needs it and Flair seemed to be hinting at it. There's not enough build, so they might hold it off so Jericho can win a match (and stretch out the Flair losing deal). I disagree jester, because they're goal is to run split promotions and a single champ defeats that.
Guest nikowwf Report post Posted September 18, 2002 My favorite is how every HHH opponent tells him how great he is. GENERIC HHH OPPONENT INTERVIEW "Yes, its true you are the greatest wrestler who ever lived, the most talented man ever, so freaking fantastic that I cannot believe it. But I will try to beat you, even though its impossible." Niko
Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Let's not forget that Jericho beating Flair at Unforgiven means absolutely dick all, being that flair jobbed to RICO. Seriously, I feel embarassed about this whole HHH situation. Embarassed, because it gets me really angry. I mean really fuckin angry. It shouldn't, because it's a situation beyond my control and scope, but it still does. I can't fathom how the guy who claims to be "all about the business" can be this fuckin egotistical and self-centred. I really, really can't. On a side note, HHH vs Flair at Survivor Series is a terrible idea. HHH already beat him on RAW two weeks ago. He has nothing to prove by beating him again. I say go with HHH vs Bubba, that will be more interesting.
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted September 18, 2002 I can't believe anyone would think Bubba/HHH is a better idea than HHH/Flair. In another thread someone said HHH was wanting to job his bogus belt to RVD (via Shawn run in) so he could feud with Shawn in the main event while in theory RVD would flop as champ due to no feasible opponents. Guest nikowwf Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Bubba vs. HHH sounds passable for a Raw match, horrible for a world title match. if they want HHH to move down the card and fight him, fine. But as a title match it reeks. And HHH / Flair sucked on Raw. We don't need that on PPV. Flair should be so far out of the world title contention. Its even worse to give him the title than when they gave Hogan the title. And if it sounds like a 100% impossibility a person would win the title, they shouldnt be challenging for it.
