Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted September 18, 2002 I was just curious because usually people are posting them in a thread as they happen and I hadn't seen that tonight.

Guest RedJed Report post Posted September 18, 2002 They probably haven't even started the taping yet, its only 730 in Colorado. I was at Smackdown last week in Minneapolis and the f'n dark matches werent up and running until 8. Those could be the matches on the lineup sheet in the programs at the live event though. Guest DeputyHawk Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Alright now the SmackDown/Velocity audio spoiler coverage is underway! Ryan Clark called in the first live update from in-ring action where he informed us of a dark match between Val Venis and Doug Basham of OVW. Venis got the nod on that particular match. As we were heading off, the first Velocity match began which featured Mark Henry. Don't know who his opponent will be or what the outcome of the match is just yet, but keep tuned to WrestleZoneRadio.com for Velocity/SmackDown! spoiler coverage. To listen to the update from live inside the arena which featured Ryan detailing the Venis/Basham match and audio of Mark Henry's entrance being taped for Velocity, click here! this is from backstagewrestling.com if it's any help. sounds like velocity's only just starting, though they taped a couple of vignettes with lesnar and bischoff backstage earlier in the day. Guest DeputyHawk Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Back with another update from the Velocity tapings. Val Venis and Doug Basham took on the team of Mark Henry and Mark Jindrak. Henry and Jindrak got the win after Henry hit the big splash. exciting stuff so far, no? good to see jindrak though. i guess val and basham were warming up for the velocity tag during the dark match or something. Guest DeputyHawk Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Correction on the last update, it was a dark match. Mark Henry and Mark Jindrak defeated Horace Hogan and Bull Buchanon. Val Venis defeated Doug Basham. Both were dark matches. Velocity tapings are in fact just now starting and the Tajiri vs. Kidman match is complete with Tajiri winning with the kick to the face, Ryan said it was an incredible match. As we headed off the update, Ryan was nice enough to leave his phone on so we could hear the entrances for both Matt Hardy and Hurricane, who will wrestle each other in the last match. damn, this guy's spoilers are somewhat muddled to say the least. i'm going to look around and see if anyone else is doing it more competently. Guest DeputyHawk Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Velocity Spoilers: Hurricane vs. Crash Holly Written by Matt Boone on 09/17/2002 Crash Holly and Hurricane is our next Velocity match. Hurricane did a funny spot with the "Hurri-Chokeslam" and got the win with the roll up. Velocity Spoilers: Albert vs. Funaki Written by Matt Boone on 09/17/2002 This match is Albert vs. Funaki. Funaki cut a quick promo saying he is the number one announcer, and told everyone he was going to shave Albert's back. The match went on, Funaki attempted a chokeslammed, didn't succeed. Got caught in a bear hug when he came off the second rope and started pulling out hairs from Albert's back to a chant of "shave his back" from the crowd. Funaki eventually got the win and that match was taped for Velocity. revenge for funaki!!!!! these spoilers are pretty lame, but there doesn't seem anything better out there, dunno what happened to tpw. shall i keep this up for smackdown proper or just leave it down to a proper recap to emerge sometime tomorrow? Guest DeputyHawk Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Velocity Spoilers: Randy Orton vs. Shannon Moore Written by Matt Boone on 09/17/2002 Randy Orton vs. Shannon Moore is next for Velocity. Randy Orton gets the win in this one with a modifyed version of the "FameAssEr" time for smackdown now. apparently edge vs. eddie and rey vs. noble are expected to be added to the ppv.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted September 18, 2002 and rey vs. noble are expected to be added to the ppv. If that's the case, I hope Rey doesn't win the title (and I like Rey-Rey). I'd much rather see some kind of build-up to a title change. Have Knoble go over at the PPV, then build up a feud leading at least up to the next PPV. Even though it means jobbing Rey in his first 2 PPV matches, it is worth it. Make it screwy or something, with maybe Tajiri interfering. That sets up Tajiri/Rey for No Mercy, and Rey/Noble at Survivor Series with the title change. Give Noble a match with Crash or Chavo (if he turns) or Moore at No Mercy to have a title match. Guest DeputyHawk Report post Posted September 18, 2002 SmackDown Spoilers: Mysterio/Noble; Steph, Undertaker's Wife, More Written by Matt Boone on 09/17/2002 From this point on it's all WWE SmackDown! spoilers live in audio exclusively at WrestleZoneRadio.com. For those without Real Media capabilities, don't worry, I will be doing text updates inside each update right here on the side. You'll have to forgive me if they aren't very detailed as Ryan is calling every 5 minutes with updates so between recording, saving, editing, uploading, and writing, I have to somehow jam that into each 5 minute time period. Sucks being me. Anyways, here's what we've got on SmackDown! so far. Rey Mysterio and Torrie Wilson defeated Jamie Noble and Nidia in a mixed tag team match. Torrie hit a bronco buster on Nidia, Mysterio followed up with a bronco buster of his own to Nidia. Mysterio won with his usual springboard hurricanrana on Noble. Stephanie McMahon backstage segment talking about SmackDown! has been bad lately, told D-Von that she wants him to prove to her that SmackDown! is the better show tonight. Extra security has been hired by Paul Heyman to protect Brock Lesnar tonight as Undertaker is on a rampage looking for him. Undertaker's wife apparently went into labor this morning. As we were wrapping up the audio, Stephanie McMahon was in the ring cutting a promo.

Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Stephanie McMahon backstage segment talking about SmackDown! has been bad lately, told D-Von that she wants him to prove to her that SmackDown! is the better show tonight. Well, maybe if they wouldn't book Mark Henry & Rikishi to wrestle (and win) every week... I agree about having Knoble go over cheaply. Either Tajiri interference, or have Nidia hold down Rey's leg on a pin attempt, whatever.
Guest DeputyHawk Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Long segment featuring Billy and Chuck, lot of jokes about being gay and not being gay. Kurt Angle interupts, more jokes about gays. Kurt Angle eventually gets angry and challenges Billy or Chuck to a match tonight. Stephanie interupts and says it'll be Kurt Angle and a partner vs. both Billy and Chuck. Angle agrees and allows her to pick his parter for him, which will be none other than his opponent at Unforgiven, Chris Benoit. Kurt Angle made some more jokes about gays, and that just about did it for that segment. So Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit vs. Billy and Chuck, likely the main event, later tonight. well, this show sounds quite stunningly bad so far. kurt angle: paedophile, homophobe, olympic champion & your alleged face of the future. rock on. Guest ISportsFan Report post Posted September 18, 2002 A new Undertaker "desire" video played, which we recorded the audio for the entire time, as well as a backstage segment with Eddie Guerrero talking to Chavo. He told him Edge has disrespected him for the last time and later tonight he'll pay in a tag team match featuring Eddie Guerrero and Chavo Guerrero vs. Edge and Rikishi. Well, two backstage segments in a row. Where's the ring action SmackDown is known for? Jason
Guest ISportsFan Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Eddie and Chavo defeated Edge and Rikishi when Chavo rolled up Edge. After the match Eddie knocked out Edge with a chair, busted him open, got on top of him and cut a promo. Basically hyping their match for Unforgiven which is now confirmed. He then blew him a kiss before leaving. Live via satelitte Bischoff is shown preparing for a live discussion with Stephanie, who will be in the ring. Woohoo! Los Guerreros win two weeks in a row. It does probably mean Eddy's gonna lose on Sunday, though. Jason
Guest ISportsFan Report post Posted September 18, 2002 The next thing from the spoilers is the "debate" with Stephie and Eric. Basically, the guy said it's a bunch of back and forth "You're gonna kiss my BUTT" and "You're gonna do some HLA." Jason
