Damn, these writers are lazy

I was hoping it was a tape that would somehow take HHH out of the title match at Mania.

Right, so they could replace him with.... hmmm.... let me think.... OH WAIT there's no one else who is in position to take that spot other than Haitch.  Rocky and Austin just got through putting Jericho over for like 4 Pay-Per-Views in a row.  Who else can you possibly stick in there?  And Jericho has about as much chance of coming out of Mania with the titles as I do.  He's not going to win, and he shouldn't.  After going over Austin and Rock he should have more heat than god... but he's still the little guy who needs others to get him over as a actuall threat.

What I meant by "just have Booker T wrestle someone" was do like they did last week when he fought Godfather. No backstory, no rhyme, no reason. You know, like how they book the light heavyweight division. And having Booker T do the skit before explaining the "other stars want this spot" thing just confuses people.

The good things about the show were that we know there's an Austin-Hall match at Wrestlemania, we know for sure there's a Kane-Angle match, and ... that's it.

The foam cinderblocks are ridiculous, too, just like the rest of the show. And why bring out a whole wheelbarrow if them and use one? If you brought 10, use like 7 or 8.

Well, once I get my degree in Communications, I'm going to try and make you guys proud.  I know Brian Gewertz, and we've exchanged ideas around before.  He thinks that I got what it takes, all I need is a degree.  Hopefully, I can see first hand wtf is going on in the minds up in Titan Towers.

When you see him, tell him to use my Booker T idea!!

Actually, it's pretty cool that you know him. His dad is a co-worker of mine. At the Christmas party a couple of years ago, I overheard him talking about some WWF stuff, so I walked over and I said, "Hey, you're a wrestling fan?", and he replied, "My son is one of the writers of the WWF." He's a pretty cool guy, but I would feel weird going up to him and suggesting ideas. I've thought about it a LOT lately, though :)

"At least they didn't put Nash in the WWF Title match"

he's still not booked for a match. pray it doesn't happen but don't be surprised when he walks out demanding his shot.

Also hope they don't turn Austin's match with Hall into a Handicap match. With Hall & Nash vs. SCSA.

I don't want to see it but i think Austin loses against Hall through interference from Nash setting up Nash-Austin at Backlash.

Doesn't Austin have bigger fish to fry! F***!!!!

I actually think Austin wins, gives both Hall & Nash Stunners, gets beat up on a Raw & Smackdown setting up Nash vs. Austin at Backlash.

He's already feuded with Rock (many times), Jericho, HHH, Undertaker.. does he have bigger fish to fry than the NWO?  I'm not so sure about that

the trips feud is not resolved thanks to the hasty face turn.

the rock feud still hasn't received closure.

booker t-austin was never given a chance

he could have been doing alot better than fighting with Hall.

I heard that the writers work long shifts and are at the beck and call for Mcmahon.  Add that to low wages not to mention most of these guys ARE NOT wrestling fans (you have all seen the ads placed for writers, a degree and experience writing for tv is all you need), so I can't see the incentive for them to give it their all.

Plot holes and needless inconsistancies show their disinterest.  If they actually respected what they do we would probably be seeing better television.  Not to mention I bet only a close few can really get their storylines over, writers politik too.

But fuck em, no excuses for the horrible product on now.  Plot hold after plot hole, it *is* insulting.

How much brain power does it take to go, "Hey, John suggested we do this Booker T thing with shampoo. I think it sucks. Who agrees?" Given who was there and what stories they want to push, here's my version of what should have been.

-- Austin opens up the show, basically to brag about what he did to Scott Hall and to make the crowd say "What" alot and maybe get it out of their system. He challenges Hall for WM, but doesn't wait for an answer. He then addresses Mr. Perfect and the main event tonight before leaving.

-- Before the break, the NWO watch the monitor and make veiled comments like, "He'll get his answer," etc.

-- Opening match: RVD vs. Big Show, IC title #1 contender match. RVD wins, just like he did on RAW. Regal, who was backstage, attacks RVD after the win, using the brass knucks.

-- Before the break, Christian and Storm talk backstage. Christian says he's changed his mind about quitting, but Storm is noticeably suspicous about his committment.

-- Tag title match: Billy and Chuck vs. Storm and Christian: After an Unprettier only gets two (Chuck breaks up the pin) and the ref does the "false tag" thing, Christian gets pissed and walks out on Storm. Billy and Chuck win soon after.

-- Backstage, Booker T fumes about how no one paid attention to his big win over Godfather last week because they were all concentrating on The Rock. So this week he's gonna beat Rikishi's ass, someone they can't help but notice.

-- Booker T vs. Rikishi: Booker wins in a kinda squash.

-- Jericho comes out for an interview. He talks about how great he is, etc., and calls out HHH. When HHH gets there, Jericho brags about "stealing his woman." This pisses HHH off, and then Jericho calls out Stephanie to rub it in as they hug or something. This REALLY pisses HHH off (but this is assuming they didn't blow thsi whole triangle in the first place and Steph broke it off with HHH), and they brawl. Kane interrupts and challenges Jericho.

-- Jazz vs. Molly. (Keep it like it was on RAW) Jazz wins in a SHORT match and does the beatdown. Taker comes out and beats up Arn Anderson, but Flair never shows up.

-- Kane vs. Jericho: Kurt Angle interferes while Kane is about to do the top rope clothesline, pushing him off. Jericho wins, and Angle and Kane fight.

-- The Rock has a message from the hospital, that come hell or high water he's still gonna beat Hogan's ass at WM.

-- Perfect vs. Austin: Austin wins after Perfect messes up while hooking the leg on the Perfect Plex. Right after, the NWO come out (without any cinderblocks). They beat Austin down like they did to the Rock (without a semi-truck) and Hall teases drinking a beer before pouring it all over Austin and saying he accepts.

Now, that took me like 15-20 minutes, and with other writers there to fill in gaps, it would be better than RAW was.

I wish that I could write for wrestling. It doesn't even have to be the WWF. I just want the experience. I want to be able to see if I know what I am doing.

I haven't went to college yet, although I graduated from high school nearly 3 years ago. I could go for communication.

I'm not going to sit here and say that I could book the WWF better than the writers that they have now, but at least I have wrestling knowledge, and I would have the storylines make sense. The WWF roster is too big, I think that is the major problem.

....

I'm going to go fill out some applications for Indy feds now.

Methinks you might want to take a few of those classes before applying for any writing job.
