Guest kingkamala Report post Posted September 19, 2002 The worst game I attended was at Fenway Park in 1999 between the Red Sox and the Orioles, The Red Sox got beat 8-2 and everybody(Except for me, my dad and two brothers) were cheering for the Orioles depressing scene actually. Another bad game was in 98 or 99 it was the Boston Celtics Vs Chicago Bulls, it was the season after Michael Jordan retired for the second time and Scottie Pippen got traded. The biggest star of the Bulls at the time was Ron Harper, that's right Ron fuckin' Harper. The Celtics were leading at half by 12 or 13 points, but the Bulls ended up rallying and ended up winning by one point *sigh*. They got beat by a team whose star is Ron Harper! Now that's depressing...
Guest Grenouille Report post Posted September 19, 2002 Hockey Bruins-Penguins game back in '93 at the GAH-den. I'll just say that Mario and Jagr lit the lamp quite a few times making Jon Casey and John Blue look like the POS goalies they are. Best game I've been to was Bruins VS Nordiques. The game where Ron Tugnutt got about 70 saves. Check Fan Attic on NESN, they play that episode all the time. Football Some Pats game during Bledsoe's rookie year. I think it may have been against the Bills. Damn did the Pats suck that year. Best-Two words: Snow Bowl. Baseball Red Sox-Angels series from sometime in '88. I was 5, I don't remember much. Basketball Numerous games during the Pitino era when tickets were abundant and the Celts lost 95% of them.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted September 19, 2002 Hmm, well I had season tickets to the Pittsburgh Bulls indoor lacrosse league in high school and the final game of the regular season we were losing because some refs called a penalty on one of our players because he got hit by someone from the Detroit team (go figure), and the fans threw so much crap onto the field that they called the game off... Wait, actually that was fairly entertaining. Well, this one time I went to a Pirates game for the free Roberto Clemente statue (or some other corny gimmick) and they sold out (and I got there real early too) so I sat empty handed while some team handed the Pirates another surprising loss... Guest residueofsociety Report post Posted September 21, 2002 Worst game I went to was the Patriots-Jets game in Oct. 95 if I remember correctly. It was downpouring and high winds and both teams did nothing but run. You couldn't even see the field. By halftime the whoel stadiumw as flooded and my father and I booked it, and of course the Pats lost.
Guest Phr33k Report post Posted September 22, 2002 Probably the 1998 New Year's Eve game at the Saddledome, Flames vs. Sharks. They got beaten 5-1, were completely outplayed for all 60 minutes, and got booed off the ice after it was all said and done. I was also at the Flames-Ducks game with all the fighting at the end from last year (350 PIM total). Why did it suck? BECAUSE MY DAD CONVINCED ME TO LEAVE TWO MINUTES BEFORE THE FIGHTING STARTED.
