Getting my first set of puro comps

My mistake. The Misawa/Kobashi match from 95 is actually Misawa-Kobashi/Kawada-Taue 60 min. draw. Well it took me forever to try and combine the times I might try it again later unless you wanna help lol? I might have found a way just takes some figuring. Anyway I found out I could get AJW Dreamslams on one tape which would bring the cost of $120 up to $137. Is Dreamslam good though?

Both events (4/2 & 4/11/93) were awesome shows. If you could squeeze in Big Egg Universe (at least the last two parts), you'd have yourself a great Joshi intro. I'm also extremely partial to Ito vs. Nakanishi from AJW Satellite TV 10/6/01 (taped 9/16/01).

No - there was a 60-min. tag draw on 1/24/95 as well as the 10/15/95 one you're getting. The 1/24 match is a must-skip, in All Japan terms.

10/15/95 is fucking awesome, though Baba sounds like he's possed by Satan on the commentary on my tape. Probably the best men's draw ever, though Misawa does a damn near 20 minute corpse sell for the Chokeslam from the apron. But it's still fun cause after it happens, Kobashi gives Kawada and Taue a look that says "Why? How could you guys do such a horrible thing?" Than Kobashi gets all fired up to deliever some payback, and Taue just points at Misawa's corpse like your next, Kenta. Funny stuff.

 

As for essential All Japan viewing, I would just get everything I can from 93, and than grab the important Main Event Matches after that.

Yeah, the 12/3/93, 6/9/95 and 10/15/95 are the *MUSTS* of Misawa/Kobashi vs. Kawada/Taue matches (although I also enjoyed the 5/21/94, which I rated ****1/2).

 

Just whatever you do, stay away from 1/24/95 and 12/9/95 - they both suck.

5/21/94 is very underrated or should I say unnoticed match. It was very odd to see Misawa get "Booed", a perfect lead in to 6/3/94.

I used to think 5/21/94 was the 2nd best AJ match of the year, but I'll go with Kawada vs. Williams 4/16/94. The tag is exceptional though.
