Guest tank_abbott Report post Posted February 26, 2002 The trip that Scott Hall and Kevin Nash made to Cincinnati to work out with the HWA appeared to be a political move, which was done to possibly give an impression to other wrestlers in the WWF. - Pat Patterson is expected to be heavily involved in booking and laying out the content for the Rock-Hogan match at Wrestlemania. Patterson is close with both Hogan and Rock and has a great reputation for coming up with some great match designs. - Kevin Nash will be in Scott Hall's corner for all of his matches, including the Houseshow bouts and the Wrestlemania match against Steve Austin. Nash, however, will NOT be the replacement for Scott Hall if Hall happens to get fired before Wrestlemania. The plan is to have Steve Austin vs. Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania if Hall bows out. The feeling is that Austin would probably have problems carrying Kevin Nash in a match, let alone a Wrestlemania match. - When the nWo first met with Vince McMahon to discuss their storylines and matches for Wrestlemania, Kevin Nash's feelings were apparently hurt that McMahon did not have anything planned for him. The first idea was for Nash to face the Undertaker but was soon scrapped since they were both heels and because the match might make both wrestlers look bad in the ring. - Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, especially Nash, are still pushing to get Sean Waltman or X-Pac into the NWO. If this is to occur, it would be likely to happen after Wrestlemania. There are arguments that any additions to the NWO would dilute the group, although Waltman was a key member of the group as Syxx. Triple H is said to be pushing for Waltman to be in the group, which means girlfriend Stephanie McMahon probably is too.
Guest RickyB Report post Posted February 26, 2002 I don't think it's fair to accuse Nash & Hall of only going to HWA as a political move, I think Nash went there because he's obviously going to have ring rust and he needs to work out before he comes back, Hall probably went because him and Nash are both friends. And considering that they asked to go and work a few matches there (the WWF turned them down) shows that it probably wasn't a political move. It's good to hear that Pat Patterson will be involved with booking the Hogan-Rock match, Pat Patterson has a great mind for booking matches because he can envision what's going to happen unlike anyone else, watch Wrestling With Shadows when he's putting together some of Bret Hart's matches. X-Pac should come back as Syxx if he goes in the nWo (which I think he should). He was a big big part of the original nWo and he started the Wolfpac'. Vince McMahon should have had something planned for Nash, he is the second biggest draw in the group (behind Hogan) and he's great on the mic.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted February 26, 2002 Yeah, Nash is good on the mic, but I think he would be even worse in the ring than before, after a year out. I think he should be the nWo commentator. If he *has* to wrestle, his matches against Booker in WCW were ok, and it would give Booker the face turn he needs. Thank god, *someone* is helping Rock and Hogan.
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted February 26, 2002 Rock and Hogan will need ALL the help they can get so this match doesn't end up a trainwresck. Personally, I'd prefer it if Booker stays far away from the NWO. Possibly a match with DDP or Lance Storm. I'd rather see x-pac and nash team up then Hall & Nash, but I'd rather hall & x-pac team up then either of the previously mentioned teams. Oh fuck, these guys are fucking everything up. If the WWF was smart, they would have stuck the nwo in a six man to hide any weaknesses in the ring. That way, Mania doesn't have the chance to bomb and the nwo doesn't look like shit due to ring rust or whatever. Now, they may be exposed for the mediocre talent they really are. Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted February 26, 2002 I'd rather watch Booker vs Storm or DDP, definetley, just as a Booker mark I'd like to see him get the rub of a big match. I think all nWo matches need to be planned well in advance, kept to 10 mins at most and with decent finishes.
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted February 26, 2002 "I think all nWo matches need to be planned well in advance, kept to 10 mins at most and with decent finishes." I agree about the time restrictions but decent finishes aren't gonna happen. The sad thing is there are guys capable of working twenty or thirty minutes, giving the fans true Mania classics. We was robbed!!!
