Also HHH has "tried to elicit pops from the crowd". When did this happen? Whatever he did, it sure sounds detrimental to RVD

Monday night. He attempted to start an RVD chant (crowd didn't really catch onto it). I was surprised as it seemed almost selfless.

But when is this guy ever gonna lose a fued? Huh? That's what I wanna know. That's my major gripe with him. He beats everyone.

Silly rabbits.

HHH is God.

He never holds people down. He's a company man.

He is the hardest working man in this business, no one eats, breathes, sleeps this business like the Game.

You're all just trolls for assuming HHH would do such a thing.

*the preceding post was brought to you by sarcasm.*

Or I guess I could say "Army Eye mode off."

Thanks for that insightful response. How is that Army Eye mode? I never said anything close to any of that.

All I did was outline in great detail why that article was bullshit. But by all means, ignore all those points and paint me in those broad strokes. If I'm not a HHHater, then I must think HHH is god! Yes!! There is nothing in between!

Yeah, seriously. He was just bringing ration into all of this. Sheesh.

For the record, I take all backstage reports with a grain of salt myself.

Hey, this thread was going great until you came in here and were all "you're all in a little fantasy world, you're all gone cause you think HHH will only put his friend over."

Sorry to knock you off your little pedistal, but fact is HHH has put no one else over since returning from his injury. So how does that put us in a fantasy world?

Oh, but you don't see it that way, so we MUST be wrong. Because it CAN'T be you that's wrong.

PLEASE forgive me for insinuating that.

I think his point is, it's all speculation. We don't know he's pulling strings for sure.

And 'since his return'? When has he ever put anyone over since peaking in 2000?

Alright, I got that out of the way.

My only point is that the article was horse shit. Alfdogg is trying to turn it into something else entirely, and he can try all he wants, but I have little desire to debate with a guy who so far is 2-for-2 in this thread in terms of overly melodramatic posts.

HHH's PPV record since coming back from injury: 2-4

Both wins against Jericho (there's a reason Jericho marks want him to stay as far away from Hunter). All of his losses against guys who are already well established (except Angle, but he pulled an 'X-Pac' the very next night).

I may be over cynical, but it's hard to argue with these stats (or strange coincidences, if you will).

But look who he lost too. Micheals, Hogan, Undertaker and Angle. The win didn't help Angle and the others are guys that don't need the rub.

You wouldn't care if Angle had the same power

Sure we would, before HHH started channeling Ed Leslie in the ring every night he was one of the best workers in the company and the best main event wrestler.

And people STILL recognized the shit he was pulling and called him on it.

Army Eye, you need to recognize that there is a HUGE difference between 'jobbing' and putting someone over. HHH flat out refuses to do the latter.

He put Hogan over. Oh wait, Hogan was already over.

He put Undertaker over. Oh wait...

He put Michaels over. Not that one either.

He put Angle over. See I got one. I mean...oh wait, I forgot about RAW the night after.

Jericho looked good against him in the pay per view matches. Well, if you bring up the TV stuff that's not fair.

Hogan needed interference and a chairshot to win.

HBK had the fuck beaten out of him and was "paralyzed" after he 'won'.

I've mentally blocked out the UT match so I can't say about that one :P

The point is that it may seem petty to some to point these things out, but there are ALWAYS these types of circumstances whenever HHH jobs. Does anyone feel it's a coincidence?

I'm shocked no one has said this but that opening interview on Raw seemed a bit strange. It almost seemed to me like RVD was playing a similar character to HHH (cocky, telling us how awesome he is, etc.). I almost think the stuff RVD was scripted to say was meant to make him seem unlikable to the crowd.

He did that throughout his entire ECW run. It helped make him their top face.

No it's not a coincidence. That's how WWE handles their main eventers. They job clean only once in a blue moon.

Look at Austin.. or Rock.. or Taker. Add up all their clean jobs in the last 3-4 years. You can probably count the TOTAL on one hand.

It's too bad the WWE is handling their main eventers the same way today. Austin, HHH, Rock and Taker not jobbing clean in 99, 2000 and even 2001 was tolerable because they were the top men and they were bringing in the $$$. However, in 2002 the starpower has fizzled and business is slow. There's no reason why the current main eventers (Rock, HHH, Hogan, Taker) shouldn't be jobbing clean to help make new stars. Kudos to Rock for putting over Brock and kudos to Hogan for putting over Angle and Brock. But HHH as (sadly) the top man in the company, needs to give some HUGE wins to up and coming faces. Imagine what a clean win over HHH would do for Edge or heck even Booker T.

Yes that is true. But RVD has not essayed that sort of character very much in WWE. And quite honestly ECW fans had no problems cheering a guy who as a cocky asshole with a heel manager. It is the sort of characterization that WWE fans can't understand.

Neither Austin, Rock, nor UT have fucked/are fucking the head writer/boss's daughter. And they never weaseled their way onto a booking committee. And they've all helped make stars out of other wrestlers (yes, UT used to do so frequently). And I've yet to ever hear them undermine other wrestlers by shooting on them or making unscripted comments that makes them look bad to the fans. HHH has done and CONTINUES to do all of the above, yet he refuses to allow another star to emerge.

Funny how that works. Next thing ya know he'll try to destroy RVD's career.

Oh wait...
