Did anyone go watch it? It first looked good since it had Jason Lee, Tom Green and Bruce Mcculloch directing, but damn was it horrible.

When I saw the TV spots for this movie, my first thought was, "God, I hope Jason Lee got paid alot of money for this.".

It was better than I thought it would be - which isn't saying much, but is at least saying something. But it was nothing different from the other billion 'guy tries a zany way to get money for a selfless cause' movies out there. At least Happy Gillmore had Shooter!

Bruce McCullough, hmm? If Gavin has a cameo, I'm there.

We should make up some fake names. I wanna be kyle.

Ok, I wanna be Steve

Steve....I wanna be Steve.

I'm Steve, your Carl.

KYLE!!!

I saw the preview when I took my girl to XXX, and thought that it looked stupid, but she was laughing during the commercial so I'll probably have to see the thing at some point.

While some of my $$$ spent on this film would go to Mr. Lee, I can't stomach that some will also go to Mr. Green...

That has got to be my favorite part of the movie. Okay, I never saw it, but that looks like the funniest part of the movie.

UGH... if a poorly copied Seinfeld bit is the best this flick has to offer, it must stink on ice.

Nah it isn't the best part.

There are actually some laugh out loud moments in it - damned if I remember any of em.

The Kyle/Carl thing actually was longer than the commercial made it (I knew a guy named Steve once in high school, he was so cool)

Bad movie with funny people in it. All this means is that people I would usually find funny get to play bad characters in bad scenes with bad diolouge. Oh, and Tom Green is in it.

These are the kinds of movies that give the impression that "everyone will see it, just because Jason Lee is in it!" but they don't seem to realize that a) that formula never actually works and b) even if it did, Jason Lee isn't that big a star, at all.

I thought this movie crawled out of a dead horse's ass.

Well, I was one of the few who saw this movie because of Tom Green. I hope I don't sound misleading when I say that I thought this movie sucked.

A predictable and rehashed premise (Orange County, anyone?) coupled with rehashed and uncreative gags (old man with homosexual fetish, dog with spot arount the eye, trailer park slut, dog who humps legs/bites crotches, etc.).

Jason Lee, without Kevin Smith's witty and quick-paced, yet complex dialogue, is very boring and dull as the lead character of the film.

A bunch of other shit that happens is just really unfunny and felt like it belonged more on a bad TNBC sitcom than a feature length film (The dog waiting inside the safe? The revelation of the judge at the end? And how about that ending? Jason Lee simply writes something on a piece of paper to get out of his predicament, and then proceeds to win 30 G's all within 3 minutes of the movie) also contributed to this film's shittyness. Even McColloch's cameo, which should have been a positive, was just seen as an excuse for the director to put his own face in to me.

I really wanted to laugh when I sat among the other 8 people in the theatre that day. I've been a huge fan of Tom since his Comedy Network show (personally found his parts in the movie to be the funniest. Everything from the image of him smoking a cigarette to his landscaping techniques to the driving of M'Lady into the trash cans) and felt bad enough for him with the reaction Freddy received, but at least FGF was original and captivating in a fucked-up kinda way. After watching Freddy, I left the theatre with lingering thoughts of a few of its scenes for days to come. Stealing Harvard just felt generic and unimaginative, and is one of the few films which completely disappeared from my mind after viewing.

This was just another generic, sitcom quality level comedy with no suprises. If Tom Green wasn't in it, I wouldn't have seen it at all. He is by far the best thing about the film, but the movie is too normal for him. His "non actor" presence makes his scene's enjoyable, but I'll stick with Freddy Got Fingered. This film is too nice for a psycho like him.

Oh yeah, like you were going to watch it anyway. And if you were, you should thank me for saving you $8.

Who does Bruce play??

Jason Lee's lawyer after Tom Green gives him up to the cops.

He used a real fem voice too, very KITH-ish.
