Guest Angle-plex Posted October 14, 2002 Report Posted October 14, 2002 ::SPOILER:: Has anyone fought Sepiroth yet? I heard he's hard as hell.
Guest wwF1587 Posted October 14, 2002 Report Posted October 14, 2002 How far is everyone? Just curious.. me I am hooked on this game. I am at Hallow Baston or heading there now. Just locked Neverland which to me seemed really short but oh well. Game rocks... gonna try to beat it by Oct. 29, you know why. Its a shame I have to work almost every day.. not to mention school and all.. oh well.
Guest mach7 Posted October 16, 2002 Report Posted October 16, 2002 I hate SquareSoft. I mean, I really do. I think there's a lot of talented people somewhere in there, but somewhere along when FF7 came out, the games became more about FMV and state-of-the-art CG and less about gameplay. I echo those sentiments. Seriously, I have more fun playing FF2 & FF3 over FF7 (and up) any day. I think their stories were much better during the "SNES days" as well. FF8 just went ON & ON & ON so much that I found myself telling the game to "get on with it" at points - kinda like watching that piece of crap "Murder by Numbers" movie... but on a Playstation. ;p I haven't played Kingdom Hearts yet, but I must say that their marketing has been pretty spot on for it. The commercial really gets me curious.
Guest cynicalprofit Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 Ive seen Sepiroth in action, THAT is hard.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 Long time lurker figuring I should put in my .02. I actually just finished it last night. I saved before the last series of battles (it's like 11 different boss battles with no save point in between although you fight the same guy about 4 or 5 times) and it's a great finish. Mainly I beat it to see the "secret" scene at the end of the credits (BTW finiding those damn dalamations is a pain after the first, ooh, 60 or so). I beat it at level 61 fairly easily and now I'm going to go back and level up and try to beat all the secret bosses, Ultimate Weapon, etc. I tried Sephiroth at 60 and couldn't even get in a hit before he wiped me out with 2 swings. I figure I'll try again at 70 or so. The Ice Titan isn't much easier, although more predictable.
Guest EricMM Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER!!! The secrets of beating sephiroth are as follows. Make sure you use all Power Ups and Defense Ups on Sora. You'd better have the Lionhart or better. Jump his attacks, and hit him WITHOUT WIFFING and combo him. If you miss you will get flamed. When he starts doing Fallen Angel, cancel it if you're close enough, use an elixer if not. With Omnislash just have Aeraga or better on, and roll a lot. When he goes Supernova, I guess Aeraga is good, but you should be able to soak most of the damage. Just watch out for Fallen Angel, the rest is pretty gravy. END SPOILERS END SPOILERS END SPOILERS END SPOILERS If you can't EASILY beat the Ice Titan, then you're probably not going to be able to withstand Sephiroth's hits.
