Guest BAR Posted September 21, 2002 Report Posted September 21, 2002 Silver Vision are going to stop selling WWF videos as of Nov. 7. Apparently the World Wildlife Fund don't like Silver Vision using the WWF name but you can still get your WWE videos/DVD's. Thank god I've got all the WWF videos I want, apart from Survivor Series 1996, which I'll have to get within the next month or so.
Guest The Son of Sting Posted September 21, 2002 Report Posted September 21, 2002 The website will only have six videos after Nov 7th.
Guest The Son of Sting Posted September 21, 2002 Report Posted September 21, 2002 Incase anyone is intrested this is the e-mail they sent out. ----------------------------------------------------------- Due to the court ruling brought by the World Wildlife Fund, and injunction resulting from such a lawsuit, Silver Vision will no longer be able to sell certain World Wrestling Entertainment (previously World Wrestling Federation) videos and DVD's. All video and DVD titles will be deleted after the 7th November 2002 with the exception of the following titles, which will continue to be available as well as all future pre-order titles: King of the Ring 2002 - WE295/WWE1038 Judgment Day 2002 - WE294/WWE1037 Vengeance 2002 - WE296/WWE1039 Summerslam 2002 - WE297/WWE1040 The Videos Vol.1 - Ramped Up - WE309/WWE1052 Divas Undressed - WE307/WWE1050 Last date to order back catalogue titles on Silvervision.co.uk will be: Thursday 7th November 2002.
Guest The Czech Republic Posted September 23, 2002 Report Posted September 23, 2002 bullshit, does this mean nobody else can either?
Guest Si82 Posted September 26, 2002 Report Posted September 26, 2002 This really pisses me off. At least they are selling all the Videos/DVD's that are to be deleted at half price. I just ordered Survivor Series 1991 and plan to order some more before they delete them. How long do videos normally take to get from SilverVison.co.uk? Anyone know? By the way, I was in HMV today and they have a sale on with some WWF/E DVD's in the sale. They included Wrestlemania X-Seven, InVasion 2001, Survior Series 2001, Royal Rumble 2001 and Funniest Moments. I picked that up too 'cause it was only £6.99. The rest were £9.99 expect for Wresltemania which was £12.99. I think!
Guest BAR Posted September 26, 2002 Report Posted September 26, 2002 Well, sometimes orders only take 2-3 days but occasionaly they'll take around 1 week, but they're pretty good.
Guest Anorak Posted September 26, 2002 Report Posted September 26, 2002 I've ordered a copy of Survivor Series 87 for a friend of mine who doesn't have access to the internet as its the only event he's missing from his collection. I couldn't believe this news when I heard it and it pissed me off no end, luckily my mate has just about everything else and will gladly lend/copy me any event (especially after he gets his SS87 video!). Can the WWE re-release any 'WWF' stuff in the future in any way? Is there any way an old PPV could be 'packaged'/'edited' ('brand new' commentry on classic matches by M. Cole for example??!!) to be an acceptable WWE 'product' as it were?
Guest lowavenue Posted September 26, 2002 Report Posted September 26, 2002 I gotta get Survivor Series 87 quick smart then.
Guest BAR Posted September 27, 2002 Report Posted September 27, 2002 I always thought WWE tried to forget their past, so I don't think they'd do that Anorak. Oh yeah, I just ordered my last PPV from SV Survivor Series 1996. Luckily enought that was the only WWF PPV I wanted to complete my collection of WWF videos that I want.

You're right, I know better than to expect anything like that myself really but I guess its natural to clutch at any straw when faced with this horrible news. Your'e right about the WWE forgetting their history as well, they only seem to refer back to it when they try to cash in on 'Wrestlemania History' merchandise once every year. I think I need to order myself a copy of Survivor Series 96 as well, I hope Silvervision is well stocked for the rush this month!
Guest lowavenue Posted September 27, 2002 Report Posted September 27, 2002 I got King of the Ring 97 and 00 to go, plus most of the In Your Houses, but who cares about them. Just got 4 videos for £30 from Silvervision. Some you can't find in shops. Bargain.
Guest BAR Posted September 27, 2002 Report Posted September 27, 2002 Just out of interest, what tapes did you get lowavenue?
Guest lowavenue Posted September 27, 2002 Report Posted September 27, 2002 King of the Ring 96 Summerslam 88 Survivor Series 87 and 97
Guest Si82 Posted September 28, 2002 Report Posted September 28, 2002 Well, sometimes orders only take 2-3 days but occasionaly they'll take around 1 week, but they're pretty good. Thanks for the info man!
Guest Addy Posted September 29, 2002 Report Posted September 29, 2002 I've bought two videos from them in the past. Summerslam 92 & 93. They sent them at different times strangely enough... I only have £4 so I bought '1996: In Year Review' Is it any good?
Guest TajiriMark Posted September 29, 2002 Report Posted September 29, 2002 Does this only apply to WWF Home Video's released in the UK, or is this for the United States too?
Guest TajiriMark Posted September 29, 2002 Report Posted September 29, 2002 Okay, thanks alot. That's what I thought, just wanted to make sure.
cawthon777 Posted September 30, 2002 Report Posted September 30, 2002 I know you guys get generally screwed when it comes to live events and even some of the television shows, but you've had a pretty good deal when it comes to home videos. Here in the states, the only way to get any home videos before the WWF's buyout of Coliseum Home Video in December 97 is to search on eBay. IN YOUR HOUSE titles like GOOD FRIENDS...BETTER ENEMIES, MINDGAMES, COLD DAY IN HELL, AND DEGENERATION-X are so hard to find that they can easily get up to $75 on auction sites. Other titles like BATTLE ROYAL AT ALBERT HALL, UK RAMPAGE 91, and UK RAMPAGE 92 were never even released in NTSC format.

Guest Grenouille Posted October 1, 2002 Report Posted October 1, 2002 You guys can still find many people on e-bay auctioning off WWF PAL tapes. I see them there all the time.
Guest Si82 Posted October 5, 2002 Report Posted October 5, 2002 Anyone got the tapes yet? According to the Silvervision website the tape was despatched on Friday 27th September but I still don't have it yet? Any ideas?
Guest lowavenue Posted October 5, 2002 Report Posted October 5, 2002 I got my King of the ring 96 and summerslam 88 vids on Monday, but am still waiting for my survivor series 87 and 97 vids. Probably gotta make the actual video before shipping it.

According to the Silvervision website the tape was despatched on Friday 27th September but I still don't have it yet? Any ideas? I got my Survivor Series 1996 a couple of days ago, 2-3 days after ordering. Like I said, sometimes they send them straight away but the time before my last order the tapes took about 2 weeks.
Guest Anorak Posted October 6, 2002 Report Posted October 6, 2002 I sent an e-mail chasing up my order and they sent me one back saying that it would actually take 10 working days for it to arrive so it SHOULD turn up the beginning of this week. I'm checking out the sale at HMV on my way home from work tomorrow anyway.
Guest wwefan4ever_brethartrulz_18 Posted October 10, 2002 Report Posted October 10, 2002 I just got Smack'em Whack'em and WrestleFest 1994. It took 10 days & I live in Israel...! But...the case of Wrestlefest was broken. Anyone else had that problem?

Guest Si82 Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 Just a quick post to say that I finally got my Survivor Series '91 from Silver Vision on Saturday. Luckly, the case was OK so I ordered up Survivor Series '92 from the website. I wonder how long this one will take?
Guest lowavenue Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 survivor series 91 absolutely awful lol
