damn it... September 24, 2002 was set to be a glorious day for fans of B and B. A Two DVD set was planned to be released... according to the DVDf... site that everyone has their lists on, it has been cancelled, and preorder is no where to be found on amazon.com nor deepdiscountdvd.com

does anyone know why this injustice has occured, and SO close to final production? Perhaps a total complete set is in the works instead?

opps... I'm a dumb shit... anf

Copyright issues. Paramount didn't get clearance for some of the videos they used, but included them anyway. All DVDs and VHS tapes have been recalled. There's a possible reissue coming up if they get their legal matters squared away.

Now all they need to do is come out with a Daria VHS collection. If they made it only for DVD, I'd probably buy a DVD player just to get that.

Update: Sunday, September 22, 2002

From the Editor: Paramount still hasn't sent along word as to why The History of Beavis and Butthead DVD Collection has been canceled, but be aware that there'll probably be some angry Best Buy customers this week because of this. Best Buy has the set advertised in their weekly newspaper ad, and this will surely lead to more confusion than normal when you go into their stores. Usually Best Buy employees are clueless as to what they're advertising, but this week when they tell you "Uh, I don't think we carry that" it'll be true.

The Time-Life sets being advertised are the old vhs releases for dvd I believe.

Well damn it.

The Timelife version may not have the music videos in it or something like that. Would explain why they could release it.
