The One And Only September 23rd RAW boycott thread

Recommended Posts

Guest Eagan469

I figure if we spread the word around the net - to newsgroups, message boards and such, we can get the ratings to drop enough so that Vince realizes that his product sucks and we won't watch it.

now who's with me?

I'm pretty fucking righteously pissed about the finish to the Undertaker-Lesnar match, but other than that and the cop-out HLA bullshit I thought it was a pretty good show. So I won't be joining you all, sadly. If they don't put Brock over Undertaker really goddamn soon, though, I might just consider it.

Ladies and gentlemen, my 1000th post...

I am also boycotting Raw and SmackDown until quality improves.

I've been taping Raw anyway...

Now not even wasting a tape on that.

I'll simply read results from Raw until I see that shit is actually changing. SD holds onto my viewership on the basis that there still is good wrestling. Raw now only has HHH, an RVD doomed to fued with Flair, and everyone else from Booker to the UnAmericans to Jericho simply doesn't give a shit anymore.

The rest are hosses or average at best.

Relax, it's just wrestling. No need to go to war over something on TV.

I haven't seen smackdown in months...I missed this ppv and that's out of the ordinary.

At a time when new people need to be made into stars...HHH and Taker STILL can't lose.

I will be watching football tomorrow.

Thanks Vince.

I haven't been watching RAW anyways and I'm wondering whether SmackDown is worth it after the awful Undertaker thing in what was headed to being a decent match.

I don't see too much wrong in the finishes. Edge/Eddie was done fine and Benoit/Angle was cut short. I expected the end to the tag match. RVD/HHH was pretty much to be expected.

Ignore the uppercard, bps, and Smackdown's pretty good. The cruisers and most of the WWE's good workers are on Smackdown.

Unfortunately, there's Steph and Rikishi.... -_- Thank God for Fast Forward.

Brock's been pretty decent lately, and Angle and Benoti are pretty much uppercard on that show.

Ever since Eddy and Benoit switched to SD and HHH switched to Raw, Raw has been damn near unwatchable. I watched it every week anyway, out of habit as much as anything, but once MNF started, I haven't watched Raw, and I don't plan to start again anytime soon. Until two weeks ago, the only time I ever passed up Raw was to watch the college basketball championships, but at this point I'm not so sure I'd watch Raw even if MNF wasn't on. SD has all the talent, and there is literally nothing on Raw that appeals to me. Even RVD is useless, because he has no one to feud against. It's pathetic, and it doesn't look like it's getting better anytime soon.

Well, Im not gonna watch it live at 9pm, but I do plan to catch it on the west feed of TNN at Midnight. I'll boycott it if it turns out to be a bad show though, since I know I'll end up reading the recaps before it comes back on anyway.

I was just waiting for RVD to go without direction for me to cut RAW out of my week.

Feuding with Flair = nowhere.

I don't watch SD! because I can't stand so many people....and until they stop facing the people I like...I'm stuck.

If the spoilers told me that I could see something good....I'd watch.

I do watch Velocity every week tough.

Oh, RVD has someone to fued against. Ric Flair...

Unfortunately, it's 2002, and Ric has lost to Rico, Jericho, and damn near everyone else on the roster. And after all that...THEN they plug him into a fued with RVD. Terrific. And if RVD beats Flair at No Mercy, it means nothing. If he loses, it means he's utterly pathetic.

And on the way there, the dwindling crowds will still chant RVD.

Wake the fuck up, bookers.

Usually if the WWE puts on a bad PPV, ie. Unforgiven, then RAW the next night is usually better. Then again, this is coming from me, the fan who thinks that 2002 has been a not too bad year for the WWE.

I'm boycotting... only because I don't even watch Raw anymore since a few weeks ago since it's always Raw Is HHH

Yeah, spoilers are good to check although it may ruin the surprises on the show. :P

As for Velocity...

The good= Tajiri and Noble usually appear, and typically a couple good matches. No Rikishi or Steph, although there are recaps.

The bad= virtually guaranteed a Henry or Albert match. Blech.

Well, now I can see where bps is coming from, and I apologize for being so uppity about it earlier. Taker can't fucking put over the Undisputed Champ? Even the people who say Brock isn't deserving of the belt and the push can't be happy about this one. If Taker wants to turn Brockberg into Brockus REALLY fast, this is the way to go. The way to go would've been to have Brock absolutely squash Taker, with NO offense from the challenger, pin him clean with like 3 F-5s, and maybe beat up Sara too or something, while Heyman cackled with glee. That's putting over your champion. Just having him in the same ring as Undertaker ain't gonna cut it anymore.

I'm gonna watch RAW, because I always do. I won't join the boycott, ever. If one day, RAW ratings drop to just one person in the whole planet, THAT'S MEEEEEEEEE! But I do agree that something needs to be done about this.

This will all be covered in my column on Smark Talk, which is being written right now. I am RIGHTEOUSLY pissed about the final 45 minutes of that show.

It could be argued that they're setting up a Taker/Brock rematch, but unless Brock absolutely demolishes Taker when they next meet, NO good will come of it.

EDIT: The last Raw I watched was the post-Summerslam one, so I've been boycotting for awhile, anyway.
