My two cents: Want to know why I hated the finish from Unforgiven? Because as soon as the show went off the air, I disgustingly said "great, a rematch next month" and everyone in the bar groaned, but laughed because it's true. No one says wrestling is real, but it's not at all believeable that Brock should be man-handled by an old bastard like Undertaker. The match was boring, and NO ONE who I was with wants to see a rematch.

Yeah, you can gurantee that 99.999999% of the people on this board aren't exactly "counting down the days" until Brock and Taker have a No Mercy rematch. While I think ending a PPV with a no decision is uber lame, I don't think this match will significantly hurt Brock as there is a greater proportion of people who don't see the PPV than who do. When it comes time to recap the match on RAW and Smackdown, the announcers and talent wont be talking about how Taker no-sold Brock's offense or how there was a cop-out ending, they'll prolly just show the cool visual that was the ending. And that is what most casual fans will remember about this match.

I would have worked had they done the finish, actually made Brock look credible, and not let Taker get the better of the post match beatdown. I don't know what everyone else saw but I saw Taker sandbagging for whatever reason (he was winded fast), Brock try to carry him by keeping up some semblance of a match and psychology, and Taker failing to sell and three ref bumps and a quickly failed run-in. Not to mention post-match I saw some of the worst brawling in the history of wrestling followed by Undertaker getting the best of Brock yet again. Heck, I could have gone for the finish and the post match (maybe a little less dominant) if both men had been made to look like equals during the match. They had how many times where Brock finished Taker and the ref was out?

"And I think this was one of Undertaker's better performances of the year. No sarcasm."

It was going to be one of the better matches he's had since his comeback. Until all the shit went down.

Taker isn't the guy that should be kicking out of Brock's big moves first. You save that for someone who needs it. Say Angle is the first one to kick out at Survivor Series and Brock needs the shooting star to beat him. Instant credibility for Angle and more power to Brock. Than you get an eventual match down the line. But at this point, Brock needs to pile up the wins so when he gets to that point further down the road people can benefit from his credibility, even if it comes to just putting up strong fights and lots of nearfalls.

I actually don't think RVD was hurt as bad last night as Lesnar. Trust me, his issue with HHH is far from over because quite simply there is no one else for HHH to feud with! Kane won't face him I don't think, they've TRIED that match and know it can't draw a dime. HHH/Bubba would almost be enough for me to stop watching Raw all together.

I'm thinking RVD may well face Flair and avenge the TWO times Flair has fucked him over in title matches. I hope that is just on Raw because that is a weird and lousy match for a PPV.

Other than a possible HHH/Booker feud, HHH and RVD is the only thing they've got on Raw with the potential to draw.

RVD was OK last night.

but it did seem like they were trying to say "this guys not ready yet" to the fans. I mean HHH said he had no desire, and Lawler constantly said similar stuff.

is kinda interesting how Lawler kept saying that throughout the match. RVD been acting the same throughout his stay in WWF, hell ECW for that matter. the Only time I seen RVD more Aggrivated or pissed of was during the respect angle with Sabu in 96

I agree with Brian's post 100%.

HHH needs that damn quad to rip so he can go home and live off of Vince's millions. Think about it....that stupid title can be retired, RVD can be pushed to the main heel on the raw roster and benoit or angle can be moved over to become the main heel, or maybe lance storm or jericho can be moved up. PPV's get better, elevation will occur and all of us won't be pissed off every monday after the PPV.

Yep, feed Angle to TUW too. Why the fuck not? Who the hell is going to be left for this supposed big match? He killed Hogan. He killed Rock. He will Kill Taker. Angle. Probably Benoit. Maybe even Eddy. Who is going to be left for Brock to lose to? EDGE?

John Cena or Randy Orton Probably be the next big things to beat Baby hewey at this rate.

Don't laugh. In this near desperate attempt to get TUW over, when they feed everyone to him, Cena may be the only guy ledt.

It'll be someone in a re-match, whether they decide Rock or Angle. The way I figure, Brock beats Angle in December, wins the rumble, and comes back to beat him at WrestleMania. You feed Edge at No Way Out, Benoit at Rumble, Angle at Vengeance (just barely mind you), whomever in November and Undertaker at No Mercy. The thing is he is the champion and no matter how much you dislike him and that markdom influences you opinion and judgment; what they have to do is start building somewhere and they've commited at this point. And when you've commited as much you need to go through with it.

had a horrible thought, what if its Hulk Hogan who topples Brock. After Brock beats Undertaker, Squashes ANgle, Benoit, Jericho maybe, Then Suddenly Hulk comes back. They do a Match Brock F-5's him but Hulk Hulks up. and Brock falls to the WRATH of the 3 punches Big Boot and Big Leg drop! That Ought to SAVE the Company right?

Well, if they ever get Hogan back they'll try to squeeze a ratings match out of that, just as they probably will when Rock gets back. If they haven't learned from the whole Hogan/Taker title thing the first time, than they are doomed.

I don't like the idea of sacrificing the whole fucking company for one guy. Brock Lesnar is not WORTH Rob Van Dam, Hulk Hogan, Rock, Taker, Angle Benoit and Edge combined.

It makes so much more sense to book most over face vs. most over heel, but Vince hates them both, so fuck that.

I don't like it either, but right now it's how they're going to go. In the end when they put Angle over it'll make more sense because there'll be a huge rub of the guy who shot down all the big names. And than they can bring up Benoit or Eddie to face Angle, because Angle will have the credibility of holding the title before and the momentum from beating Brock. Plus I think they're changing up the style to benefit the smaller guys. Hopefully they get rid of Taker too.

I think he's worth Van Dam, Taker, Hogan, and side of cole slaw and fries.

I think Brock Lesnar is worth Jaqueline's boob job and 45 cents.

And you don't really think Angle is beating Brock, do you? HE'S SHORT!

If Angle chooses WWE over Olympics, they'll reward him. He's homegrown and they think he's good enough (and credible enough) to be able to put over guys like Edge in the WWE's backwards logic.
