LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2002 I've argued for about 30 min now about HHH/RVD and then it hit me. We're forgetting the big picture here. The whole reason we are mad is because we have lost our faith in the WWE to actually pay off with an angle or feud. Guys like HHH and Taker have caused us to lose that faith cause their pull backstage is just too strong.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted September 23, 2002 That's one reason I am mad. The other would be that they have passed on another opportunity to make ANYONE look on HHH's level. Someone has to explain to somebody that HHH is not Hogan and he is certainly not Austin. If there is no blowoff...well... Let's just say...I don't see a blowoff. Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted September 23, 2002 in actuality the main problem with the HHH portion was that he was given the World title as means to develope a angle. Handing him the belt is too suspicious that they either had to turn it into a angle sorta turn into Our Smarkish rage at his favortism by showing the backstage friction he gets for gaining the belt. After that was done it was too late to undo it, and to make it a strong title reign or have any kind of credibility, HHH has to hold it longer than a month.... If There was a tournament for this useless title angle and HHH won it, we probably be less annoyed at it because at least it Looked like he worked for it. But no...He was handed the belt, and he defended it against a declining Ric Flair, a Spunky Spike Dudley, and a chemically questionable Jeff Hardy two of which fell to the Bookerman's Sleeper. That is soo Free ride that if they didn't turn into a angle we would be outside Titan Towers with the Torches and Pitchforks. HHH now needs to ride out the title reign, until RVD or even perhaps HBK comes back and win it. And of course I already addressed the Taker hating Stench.. so I won't go into that. LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2002 And of course I already addressed the Taker hating Stench.. so I won't go into that. Yeah I guess if you call mocking us and calling us whiny addressing it then yeah I guess you've addressed it. I believe that the fans there live more than showed that there was a definite problem there. Usually if you even get the marks to sit up and say "Hey that's not right" then ususally it's serious. Guest BlackRainbow1025 Report post Posted September 23, 2002 Definitely agreed LaParka......I'm going to wait until after tomorrow night. RVD should have a match with Flair, which is fine for TV, but keep the feud up with HHH. Hell, feud with both men (making them a team, much like Austin/HHH was).....perhaps with a partner. As long as he doesn't give up on HHH altogether.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted September 23, 2002 If Flair and RVD wrestle tomorrow...Flair will win. Not clean...but he will. After losing to Rico and Jericho, and freshly turning...Flair has to win to appear credible in the feud. And that's how it begins.
Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted September 23, 2002 RVD and Bubba vs HHH and Flair main event tomorrow night. RVD vs Flair and HHH vs Bubba at the next ppv. RVD won't get a rematch. Noone wins a blowoff against HHH.
Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2002 Flair will NOT be booed as a heel. Flair could murder the pope and still be cheered by the wrestling fans. RVD/Flair will do nothing to help either of them. The WWE doesn't pay off because of ego. EOS
Guest Army Eye Report post Posted September 23, 2002 I don't know if I agree with that. That would be true in WCW but these aren't WCW fans. In WWE, He has never gotten anywhere near the monster pops he got in WCW. I think he can get booed in WWE. My main question is why did he get jobbed out so badly. Guest RedJed Report post Posted September 23, 2002 He was still getting quite the cheers when they did that feud with Austin though. Yeah, it made no sense why he got jobbed out to the point he did.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted September 23, 2002 one theory I believe on why they jobbed Flair out in that matter, than did that backstage segment, they wanted the crowd so behind flair and feel either sorry or angry at his loss and being insulted by HHH so when he did come out and did the turn, it would come from So far from Left field it make the peoples jaws drop. Shock value.

Shock value. Problem is that Flair has turned so much in his career that you can see it coming from a mile away everytime. And nobody wants to buy it long run probably because they know sooner or later he'll be a face again. Another glaring problem was/is that everytime Flair turns, its seemingly so nonsensical and unplanned, that it never works. History repeated itself again tonight.
