When asked if he liked the switch, he said “The greatest part is that I’m away from that Steven Richards,” he said. “My back’s feeling better since I stopped riding with him." When asked about what he dislikes about SmackDown!, he said: “Everybody’s cool, except Funaki. I think I need to have a five-year feud with Funaki. That’s the only way to settle this score. See, I announced on HEAT a few weeks ago, and I think I’m the No. 1 announcer. There’s going to be a long, physical series of matches.
