You know the one I'm talking about. It was the RAW after Revenge of the Taker. It had the streetfight. The ambulance attack. The Shawn Michaels save. The blowtorch. Brian F'N Pillman.

On a personal note, if any of you guys have this RAW, EMAIL ME. I will trade/buy/work for/ to get a copy of this show, recorded in SP.

My favourite raw has to be the one after Judgement day of last year. it is the one that culminated in the Jericho/Benoit Vs HHH/Austin tag match. It was an awesome show.

Well, I've not a tape trader, but I *do* have most Raws from September 96-September 2000 on tape...this one included.

Yeah, I'd like to have this RAW at some point as well. Hmm. If someone would like to make me a tape of this and the Canadian Stampede PPV, PM me.

At any rate, when fans list their favorite episodes of RAW, this one is usually mentioned the most.

I find it funny that the Nitro main event on 4-21-97 was DDP Vs Psychosis and was half a minute long and the most noticable things about the show was Roddy Piper, Ric Flair and Kevin Greene doing an interview together and Scott Hall returning. Pretty sad...but then again the Raw main event on 4-21-97 was The Undertaker Vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley(Post Greenwich snob pre DX HHH)

2 weeks? More like a solid month and then some.

- Canadian Chris Connection vs Two Man Power Trip

- Canadian Chris Connection vs E and C

- Benoit vs Angle cage match

- Benoit dragging a watchable match out of Big Show

- Benoit vs Austin I and II

all but 2 of those matches occurred within those 2 weeks, and i don't consider the edge & christian match to be all that special.

his work after those 2 weeks was still very good, but the great matches didn't come in such a rapid succession.

when you do a 2/3 falls match, a tag team turmoil match, the best raw main event in 4 years (and possibly ever), a TLC match, and 2 ppv-quality full-length matches with steve austin (one of which is MOTYC), all in the span of ten days, then you're wrestling like a god.

he was still working great after that till the injury, but the fed wasn't pushing him as hard & he didn't have as much a chance to shine. so he wasn't really a god after that.

It was a good Raw, I'll give you that much.

I would go with the MSG show from that September as the best. Pillman/Owen and Ahmed/Rocky in the IC title tournament, the debut of Cactus as he beats Triple H, Bret/Goldust. A good ending as the Harts and DX brawl, with Davey Boy still selling the ankle injury sustained two days earlier at ONE NIGHT ONLY, with the Undertaker cleaning house. The show also included the first time Austin hit the Stunner on McMahon.

After the show, Bret beat Taker and HBK in a triple threat match, which I would personally love to see as well.

GREATEST RAW MOMENT NOMINEE: Yokozuna is taken from ringside in a forklift after suffering a leg injury at the hands of Vader
