About the 3rd Generation "Blue Chipper" Ordeal

It's obvious that no one in Stamford remembers what happened the last time they tried this, but more importantly:

What about Chavo? Are they really so oblivious that they forgot he's a third generation wrestler, on account of the "Jr." being taken out of his name? They mention Gorry all the time, and Chavo Sr. wrestled in the WWF at one point, so who the hell dropped the ball here? Or do they simply feel that Ortan has more marketability than Chavo does?

Amusing, but sad, too.

Orton is big...and Chavo is small.

That's all you need to know.

Simple, he's a WCW guy. Therefore he doesn't count.

Tazz has mentioned it a couple of times that I know of. Maybe even at Unforgiven but I don't recall.

I mean, why bother to ruin the legacy of the "3rd generation star" if Chavo's just going to job anyway?

During Heat, I heard Tazz mention Gorry, but I've never heard any mention of Chavo Sr. lately (if ever) on SmackDown (or Velocity).

Yeah, but that wouldn't stop them from re-packaging him like they did Misterio, Booker, Benoit, and everyone else from WCW they ever pushed. Ortan isn't that big, either. He stood face to face with Richards, who is hardly a monolith himself.

Ah well, here I am arguing about a company that thought dressing up their Samoan in drag and having him mollest their comissioners was a good idea.

whats the mystery WWE... His Grampi is Gory, his Uncky is Eddie, One gen, two gen three Generations. wow.

Posted

Rock and Orton are both third generation WWF/WWE wrestlers. Chavo would not be, since Eddy and Chavo Sr. are both of the same generation. They do make sure to specify the WWF/WWE point, as otherwise a third generation wrestler would not be all that uncommon.

Posted

Yes, but Gory Guerrero was their dad.

Making him Chavo's grandfather, right?

Guest RickyChosyu

Yes:

Gory (most likely better than the entire Ortan familly)

^

^

^

Chavo Sr. (wrestled for the WWF), Hector (Gobbledy Gooker), Eddy (God), and ???? (brain fart)

^

^

^

Chavo Jr. (B show curtain jerker 4 Life)

Chavo Jr. = 3rd Generation Wrestler.

WWE = Really stupid not to push him.

Thanks, guy who seems to read into my posts too much.

Hating and not carring are different things.

lol anytime

I just remember it because Joey styles use to run off the family Linage whenever Eddie was wrestling in ECW.

I actually saw Hector guerrero wrestle without the Lazertron Mask or wearing the Gooker Feathers in ECW vs Scorpio in Return of the Funker, Hector actually looks alot like Eddie Now, except less defined, not so tanned, and has a bigger nose.

HAKU MANIA!!!

Kinetic had it right... Gory never wrestled for Vince, thus he does not exist. But in the end, does it really matter? The whole verbal blowjob given to Orton tonight was pretty disgusting though, and completely unmerited given the totally average match he put on.

guess thats why rey mystero is no Longer Junior. and Why they never mentioned Goldust's dad was Dusty Their Clubberin Tony, they be a Clubberin Rhodes... only that his Grand Papi was a plummer.

Posted

They mentioned Dusty being his dad a LOT in 97-98. Remember those interviews they did in 97, with him & Terri?

Guest Trivia247

Dusty maybe the exception to the rule because he did wrestle for the WWF.

Keep in mind that Orton is kinda big, AND white. Must not forget the white part.

And I've heard that Orton's being called a "Blue Chipper" now. Er...I see the path they're trying to put him on, but did they forget that last time it was a dead end and nearly flushed Duane Johnson's career?

Yeah, I kind of hope this whole "blue chipper" thing blows up in their faces...AGAIN!

Although I would like to see more stars made out of younger guys. But I really thought that they should have brought in Batista instead of ORTON. I mean, C'MON!

They mention Gory rather commonly in regards to the Guererros, so obviously he does exist in WWE land. Chavo Sr. wrestled for them, Hector was embarised by them, and Eddy currently produced half the watchable matches on their shows.

And if there's one person Vince would want to erase from history, it's Dusty, whom he strongly disliked.

Regardless, Chavo is a tallented guy who deserves a better role than Eddy Light, and I they're crazy not to do more with him.

They've been mentioning Dusty recently since Bubba stole his silly little moves when he does the disco elbow or whatever they might be calling it. At Unforgiven, Bubba and Goldust did it at the same time and I think they might have said something then too.

Cowboy Bob Orton was never anything more than a mid-carder and benefited from being Piper's right hand man. Randy will be lucky to even make it to that level.

JR has mentioned in one of the JR Reports that he likes Chavo, and that they need to do more with him. I guess teaming w/ Eddy is a start, since he's on SD fairly regularly, as opposed to being on Velocity if he's lucky.

I totally agree: Chavo was always one of my Velocity favorites, and matchwise I liked his rematch with Rey Mysterio Jr. on HeAT (I caught the last couple minutes of it) better than half the PPV.

Maybe Eddie or Chavo's grandson's will get a fair shake? Or better yet, the seventh son of their seventh son? :P

Im watching the Wrestlemania Press Conference on my Satellite right now, and Jim Ross introduced Stephanie as the only 4th Generation Superstar in the WWE. Eat that Orton, Rock and anyone else!

And once again, Shane McMahon gets the shaft.

Because...he came BEFORE Stephanie did into the world.

Not on camera though. Steph has been haunting us since 1985.

1985? Is Steph only 17? That, cant be right

She modeled Hogan shirts in the WWE magazine when she was like 6 or something, in 1985.
