Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted September 24, 2002 A few interesting notes: They had a huge screen which showed Wrestlemania Highlights before the press conference. They also had a cool rotating logo thing as the background. They used "My Way" as the opening/closing music. JR announced Stephanie as the ONLY 4th Generation Superstar in the WWE. Godfather interrupted Vince's speech with the Ho Train. When asked if they would open the roof od Safeco Field for Wrestlemania, Vince Replied "Not only are we going to open it, we're going to blow it off" If it isn't raining on March 30th, I take it the roof will be open. Jericho and HHH sat next to each other on the Raw side, and Lesnar and Angle (not Undertaker) sat next to each other on the Smackdown side. The fans said something about wanting to see a Takeroni, and Taker said it would take an act of Congress for him to do it. Later HHH said he started a petition in the back, and that come Wrestlemania the Act of Congress would be inacted. HHH made fun of Brock Lesnar wearing a hat like JR and made fun of Edge wearing sandals which prompted Edge to take them off and show his feet. One reporter asked if Vancouver would get any shows after Wrestlemania, but Vince said he didn't know although he said that he wanted to do Oregon since they haven't done a show in Oregon in a while. One reporter from KIRO(?) Radio asked a bunch of stupid questions to Vince, including "Are you convinced that there are still people out there who believe that Professional Wrestling isn't real?" to which HHH said "Ladies and Gentlemen, the dumbest man in America!" and Lesnar said "Why don't you bring your dumb ass up here and find out" and one reporter, shaking while asking "About ten years ago, you had a few champions ..(names a couple like Bret Hart, Kevin Nash??, Ric Flair, Shawn Micheals)..the wrestlers tended to be physically smaller back then and there was a drug/steroid testing policy, what exactly is different now?" Vince replied he should take his shirt off and his question would be answered. All in all it was an interesting thing that I stumbled upon on my big satellite (another advantage to the BIG dish..) Wrestlemania XIX - March 30, 2003 Safeco Field- Seattle, WA.

Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted September 24, 2002 Taker was sitting next to Edge, while Heyman sat next to Lesnar behind them.
Guest Brian Report post Posted September 24, 2002 Who the hell would be able to work in Oregon? The cruiserweights and Buh Buh?
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2002 Let's see who wouldn't make the trip to Oregon: Vince himself HHH Brock Hogan Steiner........if he's with the WWE at the time and who else takes roids?
Guest Brian Report post Posted September 24, 2002 Brock looks jacked, but he's always been incredibly ripped. But generally, even the smallest peopel can take roids and still not gain a lot of muscle if their intent is to repair damaged muscle.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2002 Brock was a scrawny little twerp when he was young and all of the sudden he just started bulking way up. I guess it could be he bulked up with weight gainers over the years.
Guest Brian Report post Posted September 24, 2002 But he was twelve when he looked scrawny. The minute he started looking a bit older he started filling in and by the time he hit college he was as big as he is now.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2002 I thought he still looked pretty scrawny all through High School, but maybe you're right. As someone who's never been in shape I don't know how that would progress.
Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted September 24, 2002 I can't wait until Wrestlemania 19. What's the attendance capacity for Safeco Field anyways?
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted September 24, 2002 Safeco holds 47116 for baseball, so they should be able to add some more seats on the playing field as well. Im guessing the ring will be somewhere around 2nd base and the entrance ramp leading in From Center field? Safeco Field
Guest Brian Report post Posted September 24, 2002 I think, if they do it right, they'll have the ring at second, a long and elevated entrance ramp that starts in center where the open area is, with a smaller titan tron and a big one using the regular video screen at SafeCo, and the New Japan dome show style ring lighting. I'd imagine they'll be able to make it into 55,000.
