They'd do good to keep Whedon focused on the show, given FOX's short attention span. And no, STILL not better than Farscape, the BEST sci-fi/fantasy/supernatural show on tv today. Pairing it with John Doe was a good move since that show has some good buzz behind it. At least I've got something to watch besides Extended Play on Tech TV now. I watched John Doe, but Firefly bored me out of my skull within the first ten minutes. I kept it on the whole time why occupying myself otherwise, in case it picked up...but it never did. Guest Ripper Report post Posted October 1, 2002 I'm just not a fan of most sci-fi shows. I know that Joss Whedon is a genious and all, and I didn't like the first seasons of his other shows so maybe if given time to allow the characters to be something I could care about, I would like the show. But as of now, too much explaining and too much ground work being laid to be enjoyable. On a side note, I am really intrested in seeing what the original pilot was now.
