Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 The ratings are in for Raw and the news is good for WWE as the show did a 3.6 cable rating, with a 5.4 share, according to Nielsen Media Research. The show did hours of 3.6 and 3.6. That is up from the 3.4 ratings that the show did the last two weeks. It will be interesting to see if the company can sustain the rise next week when they are not coming off of a PPV. 1wrestling.com
LaParkaYourCar Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 See what happens when HHH isn't on every segment.........the ratings go up.
Guest HartFan86 Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 I guess the Smarks boycott didn't work too well.
Guest Chuck Woolery Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 That's cuz I flipped the boycott off.
Guest Brian Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Wow, the rating didn't fall as the show went along. I think the share is the percentage of viewers watching. I'm not sure whether it's affected by availability. I think that's what it is.
Guest AndrewTS Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 It's quite obvious--the highest rating in a given month is usually right after the PPV, or at least higher than average. That just means the semi-casual fans tuned in to see who won/what happened on the PPV. Wait until next week, where they damn sure better keep HHH to a minimum like this week, which was one of the good things they did. THEN we'll see what's up with the ratings.
Guest chirs3 Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Then again, the night after SummerSlam actually got lower than the Raw before it, didn't it?
Guest evlpurpose Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 As I understand it, a rating is the number of tv's in America that watched and a share is how many of the tv's that were on at that time in America tuned in.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Hurricane = RATINGS~!
ChrisMWaters Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Hurricane = RATINGS~! Damn skippy. BTW...sad thought for all Hurricane fans...
Guest Flyboy Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Chris, who drew that? Blaine?
ChrisMWaters Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Chris, who drew that? Blaine? Yes he did...at my request.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 I just realized something! There might be no RAW next week. Houston is on the Gulf Coast and Izzy could strike anywhere on the Gulf Coast sometime late this week towards the weekend. If Houston got hit by a hurricane, I doubt they'd be able to hold the show there. And if they hold the show, I doubt the Hurricane will get a big pop, they might as well keep him away from Houston...
LaParkaYourCar Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Hurricane Isadore isn't going to hit Houston. We have like the lowest chance of getting hit by it of all the Gulf Coast Areas. It will probably hit either New Orleans or Florida. Houston will probably just get a lot of rain.
Guest candie45 Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Wow, the rating didn't fall as the show went along. Probably because HHH wasn't on in the first hour so the viewers weren't turned off.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 I didnt know, I hadnt followed up on Hurricane Izzy lately, the last I heard it was supposed to hit somewhere in Texas.. BTW, RAW was a good show last night, the rating was good, so hopefully they'll keep the same formula up for next week and have another good show..
