Guest treble charged Report post Posted September 29, 2002 Everyone no-sold my suggestion of WOW Unleashed. That is the one PPV that completely killed my interest in a product. Seriously. I watched WOW, basically religiously for the first few months it was on the air, and was, somewhat, excited about the PPV. Then, they go out there with their bush league production values (I'd say worse than ECW's) and do nothing the least bit entertaining, besides the ref taking a Foley-like bump off of the cage. I was never interested in their show after that, again.
Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted September 29, 2002 WM2 just didn't do it for me. I did like the Bulldogs vs. Dream Team match but that was it. Unforgiven just sucked to me.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted September 29, 2002 That's why I can't hate WMII- Davey wins a title!!!!! No love for Angle v. Benoit or Eddy!~ v. Edge? IMO- in order for a show to be worst ppv of all time- it has to have nothing redeeming it. Enter KOTR95.
Guest Midnight Express83 Report post Posted September 29, 2002 to win worst PPV of the year. there has to be NO good matches on the card. WM2 is out for the Bulldogs match. Unforgiven 02 had two matches that could easily be match of the year. So thats out. Rumble 94 had the Owen heel turn and the Harts tag match. Uncensored 96 had Regal vs Finley. WM9's opener wasn't bad I say ***. WM12 had the ironman match. It was about *** Havoc 98 was bad, but DDP vs Goldberg was good.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted September 29, 2002 HBK v. Tatanka was just super dull and boring. That show is up there for worst
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted September 29, 2002 I have to agree with TC about WOW Unleashed. What a terrible PPV and a friggin REF outshines all the ladies by taking one bump. I-Generation, Heroes of Wrestling, KOTR 95, and GAB 91 were all awful as well.
Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted September 29, 2002 What matches were on KOTR 95 to refresh my memory.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted September 30, 2002 What matches were on KOTR 95 to refresh my memory. Savio Vega v. IRS Savio Vega v. Yokozuna Roadie v. Bob Holly HBK v. Kama Taker v. Mabel Roadie v. Savio Vega Bret v. King Mabel v. Savio Vega Bam Bam/Diesel v. Sid/Tatanka
Guest pete Report post Posted September 30, 2002 KOTR 95 was horrible. I used my tape of the card to record other things. I knew that their was nothing on the show worth watching again.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted September 30, 2002 Eh- people throwing shit at Mabel while Vince acts all disgusted is pretty funny
Guest Midnight Express83 Report post Posted September 30, 2002 King of the Ring was pretty bad but Buckhouse Stampede and Uncensored 95 were got awful.
Guest BAR Report post Posted September 30, 2002 You could throw WWF WrestleMania XI in this category too, it was basically just a bunch of celebrities stealing the show from the wrestling (Not that there was much wrestling!)
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted September 30, 2002 You could throw WWF WrestleMania XI in this category too, it was basically just a bunch of celebrities stealing the show from the wrestling (Not that there was much wrestling!) WM XI isn't like bad though. HBK v. Diesel was really good, LT v. Bam Bam was good all things considered, Bret v. Backlund and Jarrett v. Razor were decent. Sure Bundy v. Taker sucked but I wouldn't lump it in worst ever. Uncensored 95- good call. I'm a huge Dustin Rhodes mark and I'm glad he bladed before his feud with Bully lengthened. AA v. Johnny B. Badd is the only thing not sleep inducing.
Guest Midnight Express83 Report post Posted September 30, 2002 If it wasn't for Dynamite vs Savage and Savage vs Steamboat. Wrestling Classics would get the nod.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted September 30, 2002 Steamboat v. DBS is also a not bad match. Plus Spot v. Funk is very funny. It's the first ever PPV so it should get a free pass.
Guest Midnight Express83 Report post Posted September 30, 2002 Well, by that logic so should Starrcade 87 but it won't be anything higher than crappy. Flair saves it.
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2002 WORST SHOW EVER...so bad I'm sure most have forgotten... Uncensored 95! - Duggan vs. Meng in a martial arts match - The return of the "Warrior" (or so WCW would have you believe - it was just the lame Renegade) - Arn Anderson vs. Johnny B. Badd in a wrestler vs. boxer fight - Dustin Rhodes vs. the Blacktop Bully in a pre-taped and heavily edited for blood "King of the Road" bout ... so bad that they both quit the company days afterwards - A giant food fight between the Nasty Boys and Harlem Heat where just about everyone is wearing ketchup at the end - A DQ finish to Savage / Shark on a pay-per-view claming to have no DQs - Ric Flair dressed as a woman - Hogan beats Vader in a leather strap match by ... beating Flair when Flair interferes This show was so bad that most of the mags at the time said that WrestleMania XI was awesome in comparison (and we all know how bad that show was). Guest bob_barron Report post Posted September 30, 2002 AA v. Badd was actually entertaining considering everything else. WMXI wasn't a bad show- Owen's first title, HBK v. Diesel- then again it wasn't necessarily good either.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Well, by that logic so should Starrcade 87 but it won't be anything higher than crappy. Flair saves it. Starrcade 87 was just the first NWA PPV. I have two matches from Starrcade 87- Luger v. Dusty which is well what you would expect and Flair v. Garvin which is usual Flair v. broomstick Wrestling Classic was first PPV period. Guest Olympic Slam Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Uncensored 95 is the worst I've ever seen. That's saying a lot as I've seen a lot of shit the past year. When Sting vs. Ray Traylor is the best match on the card, you're in serious trouble. I wont even get into the "main event" of this pile.
