Best wwf feud of the 80's

According to Jake's wife, she was driven into Rude's arms because Jake was an abusive alcoholic. I can't really call that a lie, as it does sound very believable, but Jake says he turned to drinking because of his wife leaving him.

Fuck me! Thats absolute madness that rude was banging Jake's wife.  I thought I knew my wrestling shit pretty well, but not well enough.

 

Well I can see both sides of the coin.  Jake turning to drinking because his wife cheated on him...and his wife leaving him because he was a dope fiend.

 

As a side note, I believe that Jericho will be the father of Stephanie's baby....and that would rule it all

Damn, I'm just finding out Rude banged Jake's wife. I can't believe only one person brought up Hogan/Orndorff. You got to remember how far that rivalry went from the time after WrestleMania 1 when Hogan took him into his camp after Piper and Orton let him go. The clothesline to Hogan in the tag team match on Superstars in 1986 was great. Adonis hugging Orndorff in the back was funny as hell too. Add the Flower shop segments and this is an all-time great feud. For the epitome of the 80's wwf I would have to go with THE MEGA-POWERS EXPLODE!!!!!!

The Jake Roberts/Rick Rude feud was good because it was half a shoot/half part of the storyline so that worked out really cool.I can't believe all these people never knew that Rude was really banging Jake's wife in real life.I learned all this knowledge from reading Scott Keith's rants,see where they get ya!!!

Piper was just such a talented wrestlter on the mic and on the mat that it looked like he genuinely hated Hogan.

 

In the NWA it was:

2)Tommy Rich vs Buzz Sawyer

1)Ric Flair vs Ricky Steamboat

 

The fact that they kept saying how they were best friends once and that the title split them apart is a cool storyline.
