No one really knows for sure. All we do know is that when Jericho and Hunter are near each other, Jericho looks like a lil bitch.

 

Some say that it's because of Kevin Nash - who had a gripe against jericho in WCW and when Jericho left Nash called his buddy hunter for a heart-to-heart about Y2J.

 

Other's say that Jericho is a threat to hunter because he is a better wrestler, has more charisma, and could easily take his place atop the WWF.

 

And most say it's a combination of the two.

Triple H was in the middle of the push from hell when Jericho showed up. Trips was almost having to resort to pushing old ladies over to get any kind of heat he could.

 

Then here comes Jericho and the second his name was seen on the Titantron the crowd went apeshit. So in no time Jericho was already more over than Trips.

It was the fact that Jericho came in as the top heel and they relatively looked the same. They had about the same build(this was when HHH looked human) and both had long blonde hair.

Plus HHH wasn't getting over and if they had went ahead and pushed Jericho then he would've easily replaced HHH as the top heel in the WWF. I mean if WWF hadn't started that stupid Rock/Gunn feud then Jericho could've debuted on PPV against The Rock.

And that's just assuming that thigns are the other way. If you look at the hard evidence, Triple H humiliating Jericho and beating him every big meeting despite the situations, and if even a sliver of stuff that's reported (by Meltzer or Keller) is true than there's definately something going on.

HHH said that Jericho is NOT a star, and said that maybe with a little more seasoning in the future he can become a star, which is pretty disrespectful, even when you disregard their history. For whatever reason, it just seems like bad taste. It was all before Wrestlemania too, like a week, sooo...

I would agree with you about a lot of the shit that is reported, but in the case of Jericho-Triple H, you have to be fucking stupid not to realise Triple H has it in for Jericho.

Jericho never dropped the ball. His run as champ was going fine untill Triple H showed up then he and Steph ruined Jericho and The Mania Main Event by turning The Undisputed Champion into a Dogs Bitch, and HHH still wont let him get over.

Chris Jericho was never given the ball. He was given the title but the ball was nowhere near given to him. The booked him moronicly numerous times, had him cheat to beat every single person he faced, and most importantly he was not the main focus of angles. It took McMahon finishes in BOTH of his Vengeance matches to give him the belt after weeks of giving him no clean wins so it looked like a fluke. Rock/Jericho RR had no build up the only build up it had was only because Jericho delivered one of the best promos of all time to save it. Jericho/Austin had about 1% of the buildup the NWO had. And don't even try to use WM as giving the ball to him.

 

You can say that his title run was a failure but to imply that it was a failure because Chris Jericho, himself, blew it is just absurd.
