Guest Pop Culture God Report post Posted September 27, 2002 "The Clique is dead, long live HHH's swing." Guys, remnants remain but, the Clique is gone. If Nash gave Vince any shit about jobbing, he'd be on his ass. The only people with backstage swing are HHH and UT, now that Shawn's gone God.
Guest ScorpionDanceofDeath Report post Posted September 27, 2002 I guess the question about Jeff's career end is obvious to some, but not me. Someone care to explain, please?
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted September 27, 2002 Well there wasn't a flat out report saying Jeff is gone, but due to his recent stoned out appearances on Raw where he was obviously in no shape to wrestle he's probably done for soon. You don't need 1wrestling premium to know that. Stasiak and Horace I don't care about. Awesome is basically getting what he deserves. I could write at length about what a scumbag he is, but those who watched ECW in 2000 know what I mean. The guy was a world champion of a company and ditched them to go to another without informing the boss or asking for his release or anything. Now Heyman has some pull in WWE....payback is a bitch, ain't it Mike?
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted September 27, 2002 I think the only reason Credible even got a job with WWE was because at the time of the ECW demise WCW was still (technically) in business and looked like Fusient or Jarrett would buy them at the time. So Vince was still trying to keep everything possible away from WCW. If it wasn't for that Justin would've gone straight to the independents right after ECW. If Jeff is fired, does anyone think he would catch on with NWATNA?
Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted September 27, 2002 So, with Awesome and Stasiak gone, who's going to be the designated biggest jobber on Heat and Velocity now? I am guessing that role will fall upon Justin Credible and Albert now.
Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted September 27, 2002 I can see the future Im driving down a lonely road at night and theres a figure in the distance, as I get closer I can see that its a skinny relatively young male, I get closer and I see he's holding a sign, I get closer still and now I can read the sign, it says "WILL WRESTLE FOR PAINKILLERS", By god, it was Jeffy Hardy. Clarevoiance over Yeah Awesome had his moments in ECW, but if he had a career in WWF, I completely missed it like alot of ppl, so its no real loss, but im all for him commiting some serious acts of stiffness in NWATNA. Horace, no loss and should have NEVER been signed in the first place, as said before. Shawn, DAMN, that was seriously a funny gimmick and sadly this heat will probably be his last tv appeareance, he'll probably go to nwa. I think the hes was gonna do something bad with the tape recroder was proven false by this second tenure as in he didnt do anything bad, atleast that we know of, and im assuming hes getting fired for fianical reasons. My feelings on Mark Henery being fired have been stated before, but it always must be said "he fucked up being irish whipped, FIRE HIS WORTHLESS ASS!" Guest Downhome Report post Posted September 27, 2002 As for Jeff Hardy (yes, I have 1wrestling premium)... ...he's simply hurting, and needs a "break". Dave says that Matt is actually the one that truly wants to be a wrestler, and has been that way from the begining. Jeff all his life basicly just did what Matt, his older brother, did. Matt loves wrestling 100%, and Jeff's heart simply isn't in it, period. He's grown tired of the long flights, the traveling, and the constant being beat up. Many tell Dave that Jeff just isn't into wrestling as he was anymore. He's been late for shows, blah, blah, blah. He isn't on house shows this weekend, Big Show burried him basicly as you saw. Jeff has had his batteries recharged so offten, with taking breaks and whatnot so much, that WWE is just tired of it, and are truly thinking of just cutting strings with him. Jeff is ok with this really, as Jeff writes a lot of poetry, and has his band he plays in. So basicly, his heart is more into those things than wrestling... ...for now at least. It's up in the air right now, but all signs point to him either begin dismissed, or just deciding to quit on his own acord, once and for all. That's it about the Jeff Hardy situation, and I find it interesting. I never knew that Jeff wasn't the one that truly wanted to be a wrestler, but instead it was Matt, etc... That says a lot to me, and if Jeff isn't truly into it, then he does indeed need to do something, to solve that problem, whatever that might be.

Guest Repo Man jr Report post Posted September 27, 2002 Well, now NWA could get Awesome AND Tanaka.......... Hey Awesome's OK, but Chris Chavis? Speaking of Chris, I ran into him the other day... you know what he said? "Hey-how-r-ya, hey-how-r-ya"
Guest tominator89 Report post Posted September 27, 2002 Chris Chavis played TATANKA, the Native American. Masato Tanaka is from the FMW promotion and fueded with Awesome in ECW.
Guest New World Order of Wrestling Report post Posted September 27, 2002 The WWE knows they have to make some honest changes. I honestly feel that they may make some drastic changes. The big lugs (Awesome, Holly, Albert, Stasiak, Horace, and maybe Mark Henry) are going to be either demoted or fired, ie. Awesome ect. They know these guys just don't captivate the crowd like they once did. But now the WWE wants to sign guys like Ultimo Dragon, Spanky, ect... They see the cult following of the TNA group, and want to cut that off at the news. If Vince had any brains, well he is so desperate he may use them, that he will raid whatever unsigned TNA stars he can get his hands on. If he can get Daniels, Styles, Low Ki, ect... I bet he would attempt to. He is beyond desperate now, and I wouldn't put anything past Vince to rejuvinate things.

Guest candie45 Report post Posted September 28, 2002 Jeff is not in it at all. He looks horrible physically, trips all over himself in the ring, and basically serves little purpose. I enjoyed his earlier stuff... omega and early WWF days. Now he just doesn't seem to care and it shows. I don't forsee Jeff being fired, but I do see him quitting. Guest ZGangsta Report post Posted September 28, 2002 Everyone always says "fire that peice of shit Mark Henry." And while I totally agree that he is worthless in every sense of the word, he will never be fired. Why? Because Vince signed him to a HUGE long term contract, and in order to end it, they'd have to buy out the remainder, which would cost them too much at this point. Trust me, if they could get away with not paying that big lug, they'd drop him IMMEDIATELY. Same goes for the Big Show, who was signed to a ten year contract, so expect to see him around for a while.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted September 28, 2002 I can understand the reasoning behind giving Henry the big contract, but why Big Show? The WWF was already clobbering WCW by that point, so there was no need to entice him with a big contract. He would have signed for anything just to get away from WCW. Guest tominator89 Report post Posted September 28, 2002 My guess is Vince probably thought he could make Paul Wight into the next Andre the Giant or something along those lines. Who knows what he was thinking when he signed Mark Henry.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted September 28, 2002 I can understand him thinking Big Show was 'all that', considering he is exactly the type of guy that Vince likes, but Austin & Rock never had the type of contract Show did. He signed Henry because he was desperate, WCW was kicking his ass, and if Vince didn't sign him to that big fat contract, Bischoff probably would have. Guest LaParkaMarka Report post Posted September 28, 2002 My guess is Vince probably thought he could make Paul Wight into the next Andre the Giant or something along those lines. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted September 28, 2002 I want Mike Awesome in TNA ASAP. The guy can be a big star in a small pond. And I'm an Awesome mark.

Guest nl5xsk1 Report post Posted September 28, 2002 I fully understand why Vince can't/won't fire the Big Show and Mark Henry, but why put them on TV? Why not just make them house-show jobbers, who aren't even used in the stupid backstage skits, let alone wrestling on TV? I don't care that they're employed, I care that they waste valuable TV time that could be given to younger wrestlers that can actualy, uhm, you know, wrestle. Vince is getting the same money's worth by having them suck in the ring in a small house show than he is having them suck in the ring in a PPV or on Raw/Smackdown. So, throw them on a worldwide house show tour, and we'll all be a little happier.
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted September 28, 2002 Big Show and Mark Henry won't get fired because it'll show that Vince was wrong. He signed Markie to a huge deal, trying to make him into the American Superstar, that failed, and he's gonna keep Markie around until: 1- Mark gets over and actually means something 2- Mark gets himself fired 3- Contract runs out Same thing with Big Show. A big money guy that Vince spent a lot on that he's not going to just let go. We all know that Vince is never wrong, right?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted September 28, 2002 Mark Henry was signed just on basics that he was a huge strong black weightlifter and tried to get him the push that eventfully Kurt Angle got. I won't be too shocked if he can get Henry to resign and compenstate him in areas like Weightlifting events. The Big Show is dead as a Monster. We've seen his Humorus side and we know that he truely isn't Evil...So WWE needs to realize that Big Show is only appealing as a Comedy Player like Rikishi and he can be a good salesman. My takes on the three realeases Shawn Stasiak Dead Weight. He had the physique to draw but lacked charisma but had one of the more amusing characters in the last years. Horace Hogan Didn't they sign him just for Hulk's sake? Guess he wasn't worth the time...Shock eh? I'm sure he'll bang around the indys until he smartens up and goes to Japan where he can draw a little under Cousin Hulk's name. Mike Awesome -The guy was pure shit. He only had good matches with people named Tanaka. ECW made him looked HUGE against small names like Spike, Tanaka, Tazz and other midgets. Let him go to where he'll be used in the same fashion. And as for Jeff Hardy? No disrespect to Matt but Jeff will continue to over draw him. Does Jeff need a long break? Yes, perhaps they can ask Shawn to motivate him. Jeff still has charisma for the crowd but only needs to kick the drugs and remotivate himself...What has made Him so miserable and Matt so happy? Who can I see going soon? Val Venis Albert Bull...
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted September 28, 2002 Val Venis isn't that bad. The guy's a fairly good worker. However..Bull needs to go, Albert needs to go, and they can take Rikishi with them.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted September 28, 2002 However..Bull needs to go, Albert needs to go, and they can take Rikishi with them. I think Rikishi still has some 2000 left in him. They just need to find a way to let it out.
