It is an automatic assumpition of many Leftists that if you say anything critical about poor or lazy people and you're white than you must be talking soley about minorities and as such you're racist. I said this a few months ago in Defense of Moderates... thread.

I makes no sense and proves my theory about who the really race oriented party is, Conservatives want everyone of races to be successful at teh expense of their own hard work and determination, Leftists want minorities to be successful at the expense of white people's hard work and deteremination.

If I had said that in class I would have instantly been labeled an evil, capitalistic, white, racist pig. And all it is is the truth. To the Right it doesn't matter how you get money as long as it's legal, to teh Left you haev to obtain it through the help of Big Brother or it's misbegotten weath and you don't deserve it. That is why Jesse Jackson et al hate guys like Colin Powell and JC Watts, God forbid two black guys become successful without exploiting and extorting from the "white devil" and making a bunch of anti-semitic comments along the way.

Yeah, ain't that a bitch? Stupid protesters. One of my best pals was the foreman on one of the house teams and I really wanted to drive up this weekend and check it out, but there's no way I'm going to DC today. Hopefully the protesters'll have cleared out by next weekend.

 

I suppose, for a protest to be successful, it must have some sort of effect on the norms of daily life. However, if you form a human chain across a major road, what the hell are you protesting? People going to their jobs?

 

Also, as soon as the 'protesters' start throwing stones and insulting police officers, they reveal themselves as imbeciles who're really just looking for, above all things, a fight. Protests HAVE been successful before...when they haven't been nuisances run by idiots.

I was once blocked off from getting onto an overseas military base by protestors who didn't like the American military presence in their country. I thought we would never get through, than a protestor walked up and asked us if we lived there, the driver said yes, and the protestor saw me and a friend of mine (we were coming back from school) and asked the protestors to all back up so we could get in. The parted like the red sea, didn't yell or throw things at us. They really just wanted to block the convoys and stuff like that, but we very polite to us. It was such a surprise to see that

I think the problem with Leftists is that they think everyone should get a helping hand.. ahem.. excuse me.. a FUCKING STEP LADDER of help instead of working for themselves.

Before the Giuliani Era in NYC, the local government started a program with the homeless. They would work with the local newspapers, delivering stacks of papers from the delivery trucks to the newstands. Instead of begging for change and getting government handouts, these people actually had jobs and were making money.

 

Then the liberals had to put the kibosh on the whole thing. They said it was "dehumanizing" to make the homeless people deliver newspapers. Unfortunately, the program was ended soon after the catcalls from the Left came pouring in.

 

Now, let's take a brief quiz:

 

Which is more dehumanizing to a poor or homeless person?:

A. Giving him a job.

B. Giving him a government handout and making him into a statistic.

 

The problem is, the Left gets a lot of their power base from the poor and downtrodden, the people they'e ostensibly trying to help all the time. So they keep throwing more money at the problems and inventing new ways to pamper the unmotivated, despite the years and years of evidence that tactics like that simply don't work. I submit that it's because they really don't want those problems to go away. Liberals need a power base, and their power base tends to be the poorer folks who have brainwashed into thinking that conservatives want to Napalm the ghettos and eat their babies. If a program were devised that solved a lot of the problems of the poor and got them back on their feet, the Left would find a lot of its power base had eroded. They have a vested interest in keeping people miserable, all while pledging to do all they can to help them and find more money to piss away on them.

 

And yes, I know what my accusation means.

I disagree, insofar as I wholeheartedly support hippie beatings but wish we could work up something in a hail of gunfire or stabbing with AIDSy needles as billy clubbing just isn't getting it done for me anymore. Well, for a start, you might want to avoid annoying a federal agent by getting in her way and then screaming at her for doing her goddamn job.

 

These EXACT SAME PEOPLE are always criticising our foreign policy for pissing off our "allies," so why are they working so hard to piss off the people whose attention they want? And believe me, the stupid street protests don't endear them to anyone, least of all Congress. Not to mention ordinary voters, whom they delay, inconvenience, and often damage financially (disrupting business, destroying property) and physically (yes, they still throw paint, as well as rocks and glass). At least the the government has power, so we don't need to be liked. We don't need support. These pathetic shrieking imbeciles have NO practical ideas or solutions. And even if they did, a bunch of 18 year-olds and embittered 40 year-old flowerchildren who've completely wasted their lives have NO power whatsoever. They need support. And this is not, repeat NOT, the way to get it. All they're doing is making noise, and making life harder for people who do more for world peace, the country, and the environment every single minute of every single day than all street protests in history taken together. "Anti-globalisation" protests are to decent environmentalists what "gay pride" parades are to decent homosexuals: an embarrassment and a repulsive denigration of their values.

I know two Congressmen who are already re-examining their position on resolutions these protesters would want but have probably never heard of AS A DIRECT RESULT of the protests, because they don't want to be seen by their constituents as supporters of a bunch of ridiculous fuckheaded lunatics. And I'm sure there are others I haven't been told about yet who will follow the exact same route. THAT is what the protests accomplished.

These protesters can all go straight to hell as far as I'm concerned, right along with their ignorant "cause," and their clueless, counterproductive tactics. There's nothing worse than an ignorant child claiming to be an idealist, trampling all over the office, and screwing over everyone who's doing the actual work along the way. And then whining at THEM for not getting the job done.

Hippie protestors remind me of the child throwing a tantrum in the toy store because they want a certain toy. Nobody ever says "wow that child sure believes in its convictions and beliefs, I hope all that crying gets the kid a toy." In a country like the U.S where we're so well off, it kind of puts off the majority when you see people throwing child like fits over issues. It just pisses me off to see these leftists proclaiming gloom and doom when they could be starving to death in some African country.

 

I figure you should complain according to you're suffering. If you're in a 3rd world nation run by a cruel dictator, by all means plan a revolution. However, if you're a spoiled American, do you REALLY need to be punching people and breaking windows to get you're lame little issue noticed?
