Is a Sega Saturn worth $35?

Recommended Posts

I found a used Saturn for $35 (w/ Box, controller, and a game) and I'm thinking about getting it. The games I've heard alot about and want to play are Panzer Dragoon Saga (heard its damn near impossible to find), Shining Force and Nights. Assuming I got lucky and actually found those three games for cheap, is there anything else thats really good for the system?

$35 is pretty good if it comes with the box, the game(which game is it?), and the controller. Good games other than the ones mentioned include the other 2 Panzer Dragoon games, Fire Pro, and a few others. It's a pretty good system for the price.

Whoops, I messed up. They had two Saturns, one w/ a box, and one w/out a box but came with a game (I couldn't get a good look at the game though, but I think it was Nights), both were $35. I'll think about getting it, since I have $60 in store credit at the place that has it.

Its a very very very good console for 2D fighting games, you can find arcade perfect versions of Street fighter vs X-Men, Marvel and the now very rare Darkstalker games.

It would be worth getting a Saturn for PDS and SF3, but the problem is that once you have your Saturn, you'll only be able to get either of those games if you're willing to pay a ton for them. You will not be able to find PDS for less than $100, and SF3 will run you at least $50. I would advise you not to get a Saturn unless you're actually going to be willing to pay that much.

My friend has a Sega Saturn, and I would recommend buying it for $35. Hell, I know I would. :headbang:

Buy a NetLink modem too, if for no other reason than to email your game saves to yourself. It's like a limitless memory card that can also browse the internet.

You could also import Fire Pro Six-Man Scramble for it, which was the first Fire Pro game I ever played and I've been in love with the series ever since.
