That's not necessarily true. Look at Tori Amos and Shirley Manson. They're pretty attractive and have good music.

I don't like Tori Amos. Garbage is tolerable--their second album is actually pretty good--but it's not strong enough to dispel my theory.

 

Pretty girls are almost never good musicians. Even if they do have musical ability, they'll always be preoccupied with either trying to make some feminist manifesto or trying to be the female David Bowie. (This is in reference to all-female bands or female lead singers, rather than the Token Female Bass Player or some other auxilary talent).
