Ultimate Warrior return

Guest HBK WILL ROT IN HELL

I have it from pretty good sources that Hogan has been lobbying for this we all know how powerful he is backstage. What would you think of his return would it be good for the WWF?

Have it on good sources? Ha! That's funny. I doubt Warrior will be brought in, at this stage I don't think Hogan has that much pull backstage. In time, he probably will, but I doubt he has that kind of power right now.

I doubt that it will happen, not only for the reasons above, but for 2 others.

1.  Warrior is notorious for being hard to work with and Vince remembered that the last time he brought him in around WM12.

2. Hogan v Warrior 2 - 'Nuff Said.

No doubt Hogan vs. Warrior 2 the MATCH sucked, and there was no helping that, but I wonder if the angle wouldn't have flopped so bad if they booked it better.  The crowd was really into Warrior's first promo in WCW.  Then they should've had some squash some people every week instead of all the lame crap they did, having him disappearing into trapdoors and starting OWN and shit.

Maybe that would be the reason Vince were to sign Warrior (Hope not). Vince must think WCW screwed up the match with the booking, so he thinks he can book it better.

If Vince hires Warrior, then Steph, Shane, and Linda need to sign papers that declare he's no longer competent to run the company.  Warrior is notorious for being stiff, hard to work with, and VERY likely to no-show.

Let's take a look at the history of Warrior's insanity:

1. Following Wrestlemania 7 and his dismal title run from WM6 to RR 91, weird rumors emerged about Warrior's personal life that made him lose face in the locker room and eventually walk out on the WWF immediately after the main event of Summerslam 91.

2. He came back at Wrestlemania 8, after which he booked himself in a horrible series of matches with Papa Shango in an angle that involved Shango performing Voodoo rituals and black goo coming out of Warrior's boots and Mene Gene's scalp.  After that, he was supposed to turn heel at Summerslam 92 and win the WWF title from Randy Savage, but he went nuts, was booked to lose the match, and eventually left when he found out he was going to be feuding with Naliz (who was fired shortly after Warrior left).

3. He came back AGAIN at Wrestlemania 12, insisted on squashing a midcarder that Vince saw potential in (HHH), made the WWF promote his "wrestling school" and comic book, then started no-showing.  He left for good shortly before IYH: International Incident.

4. Hogan brings him in to WCW in 1998, where they get into a HORRIBLE feud that was covered in depth at the late wrestlecrap.com.  Needless to say, bad angle + two horrible performers + overbooking = trainwreck.

Now there's talk of bringing him back AGAIN, about 11 years after his prime.  Vince needs to realize that the ONLY time something good came out of a Warrior return was the Warrior-Savage match at Summerslam 92, and that was changed at the last minute because Warrior went nuts again.  If Warrior is signed, that's Vince's equivilant of saying "we're pretty desperate, but we're still not going to bring in Goldberg or someone else who DREW in the past 5 years".

Personally, I think that Vince could fix the WWF if he actually used 75 of the 100 guys he has under contract instead of signing old farts who haven't drawn a dime in years.  If he insists on signing the last remaining "name" free agents, he should consider Goldberg, Scott Steiner, Jeff Jarrett, and Shane Douglas, who would at least cost less than the Old World Order or the One Lunatic Nation and probably have a greater chance of drawing.  It's not like Jarrett or Douglas's past problems with the WWF are any bigger than those of Warrior or Hogan.

Anyone know what those "weird rumors" about his personal life were?

Anyway, I didn't want him back at WrestleMania 12, and I definitely don't want him back now. Please let me never see him back again.

There are two specific ones that are somewhat related.

The first is that Warrior used to work as a male escort, which involved going to gay guys' houses for photo shoots in speedos at the least and there has been much speculation that Warrior went further than that.

The other rumor was actually a tabloid story from about 1990 or so.  There was a front-page story on The Enquirer or another such tabloid with the headline "WWF Champion Had Sex With My Husband", which told the story of a married woman walking in on Warrior and her husband.

I heard they were anything from being a gay male hooker, being a pimp, and being gay. I think the Iron Sheik once said something about Warrior being embarrass in front of the locker room. Which made him leave in 1991.

When even Jake Roberts and Sid Eudy call you an inhuman whacko (which they did in their RF shoots), you're a SERIOUS resident of la-la-land.

Of course, one of the greatest feuds of the past year or so has been Vince McMahon VS. Logical Booking.  I'm still trying to figure out why the WWF hired Flair, Hogan, Nash, Hall, and Perfect only AFTER the Invasion angle was already dead.  And now are supposedly considering Warrior.  And despite spending all that money on them, still refuse to spend the money for Goldberg, Rey Misterio Jr, Jeff Jarrett, Shane Douglas or whomever.  And still refuse to bring back Shawn Michaels.  Sure Vince, Nash or Goldust are move valuable than HBK would be.

I've said it before, but a crappy WM card combined with a Warrior return would put me on extended hiatus from watching the wwf.

Wait...so his name IS Warrior?  I know Billy Gunn changed his real name to Billy Gunn, but the Warrior thing is really freaky...

WHAT?

Where are all the people talking about how the Warrior was a big star...and therefore deserves to come back if he wants too.

That's the justification I was given as to why Hogan and Nash and Hall are on my TV screen.

The Warrior was never a star that's why. He was over huge during his day, but he never was the star Hogan was. Hogan has mainstream appeal. Warrior has...well, Warrior is Warrior.

On a side note I can't believe I was at another forum and actually seen people saying Hogan should be champion. YIKES! This forum I haven't visited in some time and never post there anymore. It use to be one of the best forums on the net. Some people are getting delusional. Now this Warrior thing.

The only good that can come out of this is if he is in the corner of Rock to help him fend off the NWO. I mean, how dumb would Rock be to show up against Hogan without back-up? Especially as "injured" as he is. It would pop the crowd like crazy to see the man who beat Hogan in 1990 siding with Rock. He fends off the NWO and Rock wins and Warrior disappears for another 5 years.

Jingus you are right. I mean the wwf signs these guys NOW when they needed them 6-8 months ago. Makes no damn sense to me. Yeah, I know about the Time Warner contract thing. It still doesn't make sense the wwf would bury wcw like that. Why not wait until you signed the big guns. The fans would have probably have wcw as a memory, but they would know these guys. Vince vs. logical booking is the biggest and longest match in the past year for sure.

You have got to be friggin joking!

Nothing good can come from a Warrior return. Wrestlecrap no longer exists so we won't even get the privilege of having it recorded there. Warrior needs to stay away. Far Away. Far Far Far Far Away!!!!!!!

I actually think think Warrior could come in and do something with Raven. Warrior with his freaky promos and Raven could do his "What about me?" stuff. I don't want the Warrior back, but his promos are freaky.

Speak to me WAHHHYYYYAAASSSS!!!!

Man, that was the most pathetic display of wrestling, interviews, angles ever. It was so bad that they discontinued the use of the War Games for good. It was so bad that the Havoc match was a damn insult to any intelligent human being. To have this lunatic speak for thirty friggin minutes on Nitro and not expect me to change the channel is idiotic. Reason Number 1 why Bischoff should have been fired.

Just for your guys amusement the forum is under the name of a late great announcer of the old school. When I think about it maybe Warrior coming back has NO value in it. Makes me respect Flair and Hogan more as they actually have a place. I thought Warrior and Hogan hated each other anyway with a falling out in wcw. Now all Vince has to do is sign the 5 million dollar man Randy Savage and I know he's lost it. Although Savage can probably outperform the whole NWO for all we know. Savage vs. Austin would be cuthroat. Oh, no just gave the wwf some more stuff to stink up the joint. Although Savage's my boy.

savage vs. Austin would be great...in 1992

Savage assured he will never wrestle again when he demanded 5million a year. Even Vince isn't that stupid.

Hey, i like reflecting on these old guys in the Old Stuff forum but I don't want them to wrestle anymore. Let them rest in peace.

Yeah, the original War Games was never seen again once the Warrior with Team WCW, Team Wolfpack & Team nWo Hollywood got in the cage.

I wonder what other 1980 name Vince may want, or rumors of guys he wants.

Once I heard about Hogan and company getting signed, I started making smartass comments about Bruno Sammartino, Billy Graham, Bob Backlund, and the Iron Sheik being brought back.  I could make more Hogan and Nash jokes about their abilities in comparison to the geriatrics, but I'll be kind.

I would totally mark out if Ultimate Warrior returned and destroyed HHH again in his return in under 5 minutes.  I'm not sure if there is an arena in the world that could hold that much anabolic steroids
