Are you ready for Bubba Ray Dudley

Recommended Posts

Guest DJ Jeff

I do not, and I repeat, I do not want to see HHH© vs. Bubba Ray for the World Title at No Mercy. That should be on RAW, not at a PPV. What should happen is HHH should defend the World Title against Booker T. At least that way, I might consider buying No Mercy. I didn't order Unforgiven for the simple fact it didn't look that great. The way things are going, No Mercy could be worse than Unforgiven.

I think Brock puts effort in his matches.

You think he just goes out there and dogs it?

Either that, or he really is THAT bad. I mean come on, the man held a weak laying down bearhug for THREE minutes.

I've enjoyed some of his matches-

I liked the stuff he did with RVD, the match v. Rock and he had a good match v. Bubba a couple months ago

How was Unforgiven horrible?

It had the MOTY with Benoit v. Angle and a great Eddy v. Edge match.

The six man tag was very good and HHH v. RVD was decent----->pretty good.

Sure the main event was a horrible piece of shit and made me any ounce of respect left I had for Taker but Unforgiven was a pretty good show overall.

Well, obviously the agents are telling him to work a certain way. Just like with Triple H, they're trying to put over a hold.

Oh, for the love of God, it's a BEARHUG. A move that hasn't been over for 20 years!

I think he does it to take a rest.

Since we're on the subject of Lesnar, the one match I enjoyed that he was in was his match against the Rock at SummerSlam. I didn't see his match against RVD at Vengeance, but if I'm correct, I believe that ended in a DQ. The match at the King of the Ring against RVD was alright from what I heard. Really, the only match I enjoyed that involved Lesnar was his match against the Rock.

you know the arguement that the Champion should get all the Respect in the World no matter how he got to be Champion is pretty interesting. So by that Logic then David Ariquette should have made people bump and sold for him...Right?

I don't mean that Unforgiven was horrible, I just meant that it could have been better. I didn't watch the PPV itself, but I did read the results. Angle vs. Benoit could be a possible Match of the Year. The rest of the matches were alright, with Lesnar vs. the Undertaker being the worst.

The bearhug was used effectively in a match between Rhyno and Rock last year.

Had they spent half a year putting David Arquette over as a huge threat and had him beat everyone in the roster and retire one of the most successful wrestlers of all time- then yes- people should've bumped and sold for him.

Normally, I'd say yeah, you're right, but then how coincidental is it that the champion on the other side starts busting out the sleeper. At least Brock works around it and with it and builds off it, that can't be said for HHH.

Arquette isn't a wrestler. That's the difference.

I'm sure there was force being administered. And I'm pretty sure that they at least started standing up. And I'm positive that it didn't last three minutes, because I would remember that. Also, I'm sure it wasn't exactl electrifying the crowd.

But Rhyno did less with it than Brock did. Brock sequenced in falls and worked the back. Rhyno grabbed it, Rock died, and fought back; but he made it look much more exciting.

You also can't fit the country of Iran between Triple H's arm and his opponent. The same can't be said for Brock's bearhug. Plus, HHH is at least STANDING UP and not as obviosuly catching a breather as Brock is..

Haha, too funny.

1) I agree completely that a Bubba / HHH main event is inane to such a degree. Its insulting that they are even considering it. Im not paying for that.

2) AT LEAST it seems (unless they are really evil) that they are moving away from that as the Raw preview indicates RVD vs. HHH with no Bubba being mentioned.

Apparently Bubba Ray was booed like hell in last night's house show in Beaumont, TX.

If I was actually watching, I'd say I couldn't wait to see this all backfire.

Are you sure you are not JR in disguise?

"That Hoss Bubba is an excellent power wrestler."

Power Wrestler dosen't mean he should be a main eventer because he fits any of JR's qualifications.

1) Big

2) Fat

3) Tall

4) Roided out of his mind

It's like this. Bubba is 1&2. Lesnar is 4. HHH is 3&4. Show is 1/2/3.

Bubba isn't a power wrestler, though.

Batista is a POWER wrestler. Bubba is...um, a slow wrestler? He's not even the methodical slow, either.

Excuse me? Bubba is slow? Have you seen any of his matches? Bubba Ray is NOT slow. He actually moves pretty fast for a man his size. He can 'go' in the ring. And he doesn't get winded or "blowed up" after five minutes like Big Show or Tazz, for example.

"Power Wrestler dosen't mean he should be a main eventer because he fits any of JR's qualifications."

No it does not. But my comment was made in reply to the confused, misinformed individual who said Bubba was untalented.

Um, from what I've seen, the guy looks like a fat guy attempting to jog when he is whipped into ropes. He doesn't move all too quickly when doing much else.

If he's "pretty fast" for his size, then people his size must be damned slow.

HA! I actually laughed at that last comment.

Seriously, you say he looks like a fat guy trying to jog. Maybe so. But have you seen how quickly he gets up after being knocked down? If you've spent any time in a wrestling, you'll know that doing that constantly is no easy feat. Neither is running back and forth.

Please provide examples of other comparably sized wrestlers who moved faster than Bubba.
