Guest NoCalMike Posted September 30, 2002 Report Posted September 30, 2002 I don't get to see much sitcoms on TV and most of the time when I do they suck royally, however Curb Your Enthusiasm on HBO is the most hilarious thing I have seen in awhile. It is a unique sense of humor that quite honestly I bet the masses won't understand or enjoy. It isn't a show with a borderline gay guy running around acting "goofy" It isn't a show with 6 people in unrealisitc situations that pretends to be a drama one week and a comedy the next week. The most amazing thing is the fact that the star of the show was the CREATOR of Seinfeld, a show that I literally thought was the most overrated thing of it's time.....I truly hope Curb Your Enthusiasm can put "Must-See" NBC bullshit to rest and reign a NEW king of comedy next year at the Emmys.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted September 30, 2002 Report Posted September 30, 2002 This is my favorite show. Tied with Buffy. Absolutely hilarious...
Guest NoCalMike Posted October 1, 2002 Report Posted October 1, 2002 Well bps, looks like we are alone on this, yet I know for a fact that DangerousA watches the show.
Guest cartman Posted October 1, 2002 Report Posted October 1, 2002 I'm with you too, LOVE the show. HBO has me locked every sunday from 9-11pm easily.
Guest imajackoff? Posted October 1, 2002 Report Posted October 1, 2002 You guys definately arent alone. It's the only non talk/reality/sports show I watch. I have all 23 episodes and the original hour long special on tape. It's one of those shows that becomes funnier after multiple viewings. Many of the lines are so subtle that you dont get them the first time. My fav episodes are "Affirmative Action" from the first season, and "The Doll" from last season.
Guest NoCalMike Posted October 1, 2002 Report Posted October 1, 2002 Bwahaha, the Judy Doll.......classic stuff.
Guest El Satanico Posted October 1, 2002 Report Posted October 1, 2002 I've only seen one episode and it was pretty good. However, I guarantee that this thread will get alot of "no it sucks" comments. I'd imagine that the show splits people easily. I can see why some people wouldn't like the show much at all. The humor is probably too subtle for alot of people
Guest jimmy no nose Posted October 1, 2002 Report Posted October 1, 2002 I don't think it's that great, but it's a lot better than much of the crap on TV these days. I don't watch every episode, but it's funny to watch every once in a while.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 2, 2002 Report Posted October 2, 2002 That Doll episode was the funniest thing I've ever seen on TV. Pure genious.
