AJW 7/2/95 (6-27?) Thoughts

I just watched a trio of matches from the AJW TV show from 7/2/95 that I had on a Barnett comp that I never finished.

 

 

Inoues v Tamada/Hotta

- A fun little tag match. I have seen plenty of Kyoko but none of the other Inoue. They basically beat the crap out of Tamada with Hotta having to make constant saves and get the majority of stuff done. Well done, with Tamada's comebacks being realistic leading to some nice nearfalls.

 

Hokuto/Mita/Shimoda v Yoshida/Ito/Bennett

- 15:00 of well done action. I wasn't so sure who the heels were suppose to be (if any) as it would appear the LCO are but then the other team totally buried Hokuto under chairs where she hit a minor gusher. Fun action for my first look at the LCO.

 

Aja v Toyota

- I had seen this one before but wanted to give it another viewing before I get my next Joshi shipment in tommorow.

 

Excellent match, maybe marred a tad by just being 11:22 but balls out fun. Tommorow I am gettting the 11/20 match and possibly the 3/26 match so I wanted to take a look at this one today. Aja is a great monster, probably better than Vader as I continue to view both of their vast amounts of work. Around **** but until I really see more Joshi, I am hesistent to give out the star ratings.

Aja/Bull v Hokuto/Kandori

and a bunch of other stuff.

 

Thank God I only have 1 class on Tuesdays!

That's probably the TV version of 6/27/95. The match is about 22 mins total, and is at least 4 1/2 unedited. Probably the best women's singles match of 1995.

 

11/20 is a treat. Enjoy!

There is a commercial version, but it's a relatively short tape (1:20) and most everyone who's got a copy has it in less-than-desirable VQ, even the Usual Suspects. I need to rewatch that match to remember why it was I thought Aja was a better HOF candidate than Toyota...
